yeh but you've got to remember that to some people drugs is drugs no matter how hard a drug it is it doesnt matter to them.

And the fact is people can get mental health issues from smoking it, i don't know what the chances are but it can happen, so she would look at it from that point of veiw and not the fact that can't die from it.

My mom was more sad then anything. I had a brother who died at birth, who would have been a big brother to me. My mom brought up how myself and my sister are her world - and she doesn't want anything bad to happen to me, like my big brother. Basically she cares about me a lot and is very worried. I have about a 2.5 GPA, and my mom worries about me making it in life and what not. Like you Rating: 5

The actual numbers are roughly *1 in 10,000, but it's never been proven that cannabis is the cause. Cannabis appears to make underlying problems arise, and then get's the blame, when really, it's doing everyone a favour, because once you know theres something wrong it can be dealt with if needed.

If your mom caught you with a case of beer in your room would she still get sad and worry about you making it far now that she knows you're into getting a little fucked up here and there?

Mine would have. Wouldn't have mattered if it were me passed out with an emty needle sticking in my arm or if she caught me with an empty beer can. She'd get worried that I'd care more about getting fucked up than I would ever about getting anywhere fabulous in life. Especially after shit she had seen and done and the times in her life when a buzz was more important than anything for her at certain points and she'd go on to tell me how much she had given up for those buzzes and how much she could have had if she never experienced it in the first place, and had put that effort into anything she wanted to. Of course, she used to be a very hard-drug abuser before I popped out. She knew the danger of finding anything inebriating, because she went down the road of caring more about being fucked up than graduating school or respecting loved ones that are dead and now she has to live with all those regrets, even to this day when I am a once-in-a-great-while part of her life and she doesn't have to guard me anymore. Just because I've grown up and kept jobs and have houses and had careers doesn't change the fact for her that she did what she did. A lot of people, even your mother, have seen the kind of hold inebriating substances can have on people. She's probably seen a life or two destroyed by them.

Talk to her about how your life matters more than any buzz and mean it. That may help her out.

Luckily for me, my parents (specifically, my father) smoke just as much if not more weed than I do. They don't like me doing it, but they don't throw a fit if the living room smells like cannabis either. So long as I keep my bud (and any bought accessories) in a safe location, I can do what I please.
