How safe is it to talk about weed via email?

unless the pigs are tapping your phones and shit like that (which requires a warrant) they aren't gonna check your emails and bust you for talking about pot with a friend

didnt the patriot act say something like they can tap anyone any time they feel like it? im not sure but it seems like it did. im also not sure if its still in effect, either.
on the bright side, if "homeland security" followed up on all the small time users theyd never catch the actual bad guys..phew
