4/20 good time to grow?

I live in cali and was wondering if 420 is too early to start growing. I plan on doing an outdoor guerilla grow. I have this video and it says that weed will only veg for 6 weeks b4 budding so i wana kno if it is true or not. Or will it just veg when the photoperiod changes to 12 hour cycle?

Throw away that video. Obviously worthless. Outdoor plants will begin to flower in August unless they have the auto-flower gene (very few do) in which case they'll finish around the end of August but tend to be small with skinny buds (like mitey mite). If you're planning on scattering plants around you'll do far better by starting them now, in pots then transplant around end of May. Better yet, get friendly with an indoor grower winding down the winter grow and pick up on the regens!

thanks now I'm thinking of planting them in big pots into the ground to prevent other root interference and also if i find that somone has discovered my plants, i could move them. My only choice is to start them outdoors and finish outdoors but i may get to regen at the end with some people. I will start them out in small pots then put them in the big ones for the rest of their lives. I will definately begin starting them before 4/20 but i'm sure one batch will get planted on 420 for good luck. any other advice?

Just read up to learn some more, and hopefuly you have a good grow :thumbsup:
