now the ph is 6.5 to 7 im using canna and a little dab of superthrive and cal mag at less than full strength every watering wich is about every 5 days. do you think i should use nutes every watering? my drainage sucks, the dirt holds to much moisture for my liking and ive already lost two afghans to root rot.
im in a enclosed room using co2 temps are about 87 degrees using 1000w lights thats about 18 inches away. what else would you like to know. im really unhappy with the drainage i think i would rather have the dirt dry every day so i can feed every day. what do you think?

Or they are running out of room in the root section. If you can I would transplant to almost anything with better drainage. Check your roots when you do. Drainage can be a big issue......I ended up with about 30 dwarf plants due to soil (my own) with poor drainage.

Oh THANK GOD! Someone who knows what's going on! I shall now run like hell before he asks me anything else about soil.
PS Scarlet thanks for the rose info.....I knew you'd know the answer because....well you just know that stuff.

ok, i have some questions:
are you seven weeks IN FLOWER? or from start?
do you know what strain you are growing?
what are you feeding with, and how often?
what brand of soil?
answer these, and i'll see if i can help... my sage goes three leaves in flower, toward the end, so that may be strain or conditional.
i would also suggest cooling it down and eliminating the co2. you're having probs, and those two things aren't helping.
btw, miss wh; you may be coaching me soon, i'm switching to hydro
hehe, i'm a n00b again! isnt' it great? :stoned:

first its seven weeks in veg. from about a 3 inch clone of white russian. I use the full line of canna at full strength. i switched about 2 or 3 weeks ago from earth juice. i water about every five or six days now, im watering when the pots get lighter. i also throw in some superthrive and cal mag at recomended dosage. im using 4 parts compost from home depot 4 parts perlite and i think i put in 2 parts peat moss. i dont want to get rid of co2 because my room is sealed and i was told by some other gardeners that i should run higher temps than i was running wich was about 75. so i changed it about a week ago is all. i thought it would also help with drying out the soil. humidity is around 45 percent. what else can i tell you? i know ive lost two plants to root rot already but those were afghan.
