Alright, it's time I point it out now because it's starting to get annoying for other people as well.

I was warned a few months ago for having the sig: "DAMN it feels GOOD to be a GANGSTER" - the lyrics from the song by Geto Boys from the movie OFFICE SPACE. I was warned and given the message to "PLEASE keep the gang crap off the forums." And as stupid as it was, my signature was erased for having a lyric.

After ignoring my email to him, I dropped it and didn't bring it up again. It was not worth bitching at a busy moderator who only gave me a warning.

After seeing other people getting warned for swearing, I'm not urged to post something about these unfair warnings and punishments. People swear left and right on this forum with sigs ranging from "FUCK YOU AMERICAN GOVERNMENT" to simple rap songs relating to maryjane (and what rap song doesn't contain some form of bad word these days?)

This is getting pretty dumb, and people are leaving over it. Please give us a FAIR explanation if I'm doing something you have a problem with. Gang crap on the forums? There are dealers, unrelated drug posts, and I even witness other members insulting newer ones for asking a question, all ganging up on certain members, posting until they realize the topic poster already left from being called a moron 100+ times.

Thanks for the response in advance, I'm in no way insulting your duty as a mod, because the mods are the reason this board stays alive from LOCS - lack of common sense (lol).

This member (assuming unknowingly) brought pictures to the board of some weed that wasn't to the expectations of the Cannabis.com forum members. I am not pointing out the comments that people were saying about the weed, but the members deliberately insulting him because of his bad weed, or even the fact he thought it was good. A NEW member...

If it wasn't outrageous enough, it was LOCKED, and I'm truely hoping it was for the purpose of keeping the assholes of the thread out. This is one of many examples, this is definetly not the first time I've seen it. This was the last post this member ever gave.

and edit: Gangs? This was a song. Worst of all members are still agreeing with me that it was pretty rediculous to have a sig with the word "gangster" in it removed. If people didn't realize it... this is the year 2007:

As I just said, I am not pointing out the fact that people are insulting his bud, but that people are insulting him FOR his bud! The fact that his weed didn't meet the expectation of the average cannabis.com member drove him to leave the community.

People may question the importance of this member? Well, he loved Cannabis, and the world won't get closer to legalizing by driving people to think that cannabislovers are also pickycannabisuserhaters.

First off, people aren't given infractions simply for cursing. It's using a few "certain" words that are offensive to some people. Yes, that means both the N and C words..

Secondly, the mods DO try and catch all the personal attacks, but we're bound to miss one here and there. But I assure you, these instances where you claim a new poster asks a question only to be insulted a number of times RARELY happens. If it does, the proper actions ARE taken, trust that.

As far as the gangster thing goes, yeah, it's pretty much what mini-mod billy said: that type of crap simply isn't welcome here. I know, I know, Office Space is a good movie, lol, and I too find myself singing that song, but still, you've got to respect sundance's wishes. It's his house. We're all GUESTS here, ya dig?

I'm sure P4B will be along to throw his 2 cents in, but I figured I'd throw mine at there as well. Take it or...leave..lol. :jointsmile:

LOL, nor was I threatening..it's just how it goes. I was simply speaking in generalities. Either play by the rules or leave type of thing..

And no, there are no unspoken rules. BUT if a thread is made in bad taste, a mod has the right to delete it using his/her best judgment. This topic has also been beaten to death in the past, as other members have tried questioning why this thread or that thread got deleted. A mod has the final say, and always will, so there's no use arguing over it.

As for what rule you broke, I think I'm a bit lost. You don't have any infractions or warnings, so maybe I'm missing something.:wtf:
