and the cost and procedure to allow your car to process it, and the process the water has to go through is a hassle for the average citizen to fulfill your theory of having someone walk into a gas station to run their car with the bottled h20 that came from their store.

it's more realistic that someone would convert their car into being able to run on grease. they can then go get free grease at their local chinese place.
u can do that already, diesel engines were originally designed to run on grease and chip fat and the like

This isn't the first guy to have found a cheap way to separate hydrogen from water in his garage. See this page: Homemade hydrogen
    Anyone can do it.

This kind of thing should be common knowledge. Yet, when people hear about it they oooooo and awwwwww like it's a miracle. There is a reason why this isn't developed. Usually the oil companies buy out the inventor, or give him a cushy job or pay him to keep quiet. If that doesn't work then a campaign to discredit him. If that fails then more drastic measures are taken. It happens more often than not.

Unfortunately, not many people have the engineering and mechanical knowledge to build or convert their own engine. Hence, the technology isn't spread around.

i couldn't see the movie, but i imagine his machine needs to hookup to batteries which are powered by power plants which run on coal... so in the end, unless you use wind, hydro, solar, or tidal you are in the end using fossil or nuclear. in fact, gasoline engines are more efficient and less harmful to then environment than the amount of coal a powerplant needs to burn top produce the power to make the gas...

I predict even more water wastage by America and even less water for the people who need it and can't afford it.

It would be cool driving on water blazing it up though, lol probably get some boat cop on my ass.
