Bombs Over Baghdad - "Rage" remix - right click to save!
Heard this the other day and it's fucking sick. Free to download as the remixer is actually unknown. Much better then the original track. Enjoy dudes!
A quick word on the track: Wikipedia explains that due to the "upbeat nature" of the track, radio stations refused to play it. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the anti-war message and Americas denial of free speech  . Look out for that upbeat music, it'll get ya  !B.Basher Reviewed by B.Basher on . Ehhh...when the chorus hits, it hurts my ear, and is very annoying. Not bad other than that, but the original is way better, come on now.

I think the vibe is much better than the original. Outkast always tends to have a dry, fruityloops quality in the production. The chorus seems much more fitting for a rockish vibe. Each his own either way.

I like some of your music...pretty unique. Just a questions for you..

Just wondering why you say that...I know FL is more of a 'beginner' DAW as opposed to Reason or ProTools...but, still, I'm pretty sure anything that can be made on Reason can be done on FL. I'm pretty sure that the song "What You Know About That" by TI (I use this as an example because I'm sure you've heard it, and it was the biggest song in the country[USA] for a while) was done using FL (among other external equipment most likely, but still). Also, the producer 9th Wonder (who produces for Jay-Z, Beyonce, among others) uses FL. These are pretty big projects using that "dry, fruityloops quality in the production".
Also, this is not a disagreement post, rather just a question to you (you seem to know what your doing in terms of production). I have been dabbling in FL Producer Edition, and the quality of the music seems like anything that could be heard on the radio to me.
Even though using only DAW's are frowned upon in the industry...how else would one start out? It seems to be the cheapest, efficient way to start out in production. I say this, because I'm begining to really get into this stuff...I love hip-hop, and it would be my dream to be involved with it as a career. My friend is a great writer and lyricist, so we are trying to get a project together. But, I dunno if producing with FL would be taken too lightly and looked over as bad quality like you seem to do.
Any comments would be appreciated...

Good post man.

The comment about FL wasn't really meant to put the program down, I agree you can get great results with it and other similar packages, especially reason. By the 'fruity loops' quality, I guess it's the semi-elitist term I use for music I think lacks a certain colour and sounds a bit like it was whacked together in a hurry using an all-in-one package. In my personal opinion, a lot of outkast drums sound this way to me and come across as kinda raw and bland, that's my biggest nitpick about the band. I prefer this remix simply because the vocals are so intense and much more functional in that thick, metal context.
Got any links for any of your music? I'd like to hear it.
Cheers.
