How do I get close up macro shots without the flash?
Some of you guys take really good pictures. I can't.
Whenever I try to get close up macros, the flash fucks it up. If I take out the flash, the pic becomes too dark. How do I fix this?

Turn off the flash, and set up a lamp or put some light on the image you're wanting to take a picture of. If you want a good shot of the bud without the flash, grab a lamp or somesort, shine it on the weed, then take a shot.

You can use the flash ^^
When I put my cam on macro, the flash automatically is less bright, but not quite enough sometimes. So I use the brightness feature and the iso setting
If like me your cam has an ion battery, I suggest you just play around with it, you should figure out a lot of features, plus its fun

What does ISO do anyway?
MJAH, you mentioned you have a canon SD450. I have the SD550. Can you please post the settings you have your cam at when you take those amazing bud shots?Senators 6-1-0

macro, of course
luminosity (that was kind of a direct translation, not sure the word, my cam is in french xD) set around -1
And if you got kind of a spotlight you can use the function for huge macros, its called uhh...''macro numérique'' on my cam, no idea what it is in english...must be digital macro or something
Canon make great cams, I love mine, it was very easy to learn to use

How do I get close up macro shots without the flash?
actually it will...if you have it on a tripod and u use the auto exposer it might take a 1/4 sec or more ..a second or 2 but the lighting will be correct but you'll get blur...hence the tripod. thats how I do it.
