Help me get my first tattoo!

Since I turned 18 ive really been inclined towards getting a tattoo but im still a little worried that ill get something done that ill change my mind about later. Give me some ideas, it needs to have meaning and look cool at the same time. Right now im thinking of a phoneix with the words burn bright, burn right underneath. Ill post the resulting picture if you have a great suggestion. please help!

Search your soul man, what do you want people to think when they first see you?
Whatever you have, have it big so it can be seen across the street.
If it's too small people will just say 'oh, it's a tattoo', when really they should be saying 'Whoa!, that's a tattoo'.
Try sticking the image you love now in a draw for six months, and then have another look to see if it has the same impact after a little time.
If you want a phoenix, do a little research, find lot's of images and find a good artist.
Pick an artist with a style you like, and pay what the man asks.

yeah if it needs meaning, you should have something that means enough to you to have an idea. i mean, i dunno what youre into or what kinda experiences youve had, so im not sure what to advise.

get a mom or dad tribute! haha.

im getting an anchor with my grandpas name because he was in the navy. that or a big ship with his name on a banner.

think about it a lot before you do it though, itll be there til youre pushin up daisy's.

The phoenix with burn bright, burn right sounds great to me. I wanna get a tattoo of Peace in old English across my chest. Hopefully before summer. It's coming up soon though, i've been putting it off =]
