My 1st Attempt at Growing.

Just for fun, I germed a bagseed I had that looked healthy.. Got a nice sprout in about 2 days using the paper towel method.

Planted it in *DUN DUN DUN* miracle grow (I know, it probably won't even make it to nodes, right?) just to see if it would work. I currently have 5 more seeds in germ, and am going to make a run to home depot for some decent soil (seed starting scotts brand) on my way to the marley concert tomorrow.

but anyways here's a couple pics of first sign of life on day 3 (from sowing)





Anyways, I know my camera isn't the best.. but yeah. Anyways.. I'm noticing the smooth leafs that are forming are green-yellow.. is this typical, or is this because of the soil?

I'd immediately jump to nute burn assumption ...

I would immediatly jump to nute burn as u dont know if he adds nutes or if there is any nutes in his soil...plus ive had seedlings do the exact same thing and a week later there bright green then to dark green....so it could be nothing depending on the strain or nute burn if hes adding nutes or if its in his soil

I like the music special effects...lol. When a seeds first pops, it hasn't had light yet and tends to look yellow because they haven't had a chance to photosynthesize. They usually green up within a day.

Yeah I figured this was why.. I did flush my soil before the seed was planted, and went through and tried to hand pick out the little "slow release" nutriant balls I could...

Going to my local garden shop after school to pick up some organic soil for my next five seeds (which will be followed on this log)

Took these today (a day after previous pics) just to show that they are becoming more green.. not any noticable growth though.

This is also the wardrobe where I plan on growing these babies. (approx 45"x 24"x50")

Has a 2 neat little compartments below for other things.



So yeah, i'll hold off on more pics til we get some growth.. Let me know what you think of the wardrobe. I thought it was ideal because of it's white color and size. it also has a hole for cables in the back so I can fit an exhaust vent to it without cutting any holes.
