Ron Paul in 2008
Ron paul has some admirable traits, I admit. The thing about Ron paul that scares me is the fact he would Privatize everything that government does now. If you trust corporations to run the country even more than they do now, then Ron Paul is your guy. I can't go along with this platform because for a fact, corporations have no conscience and only exist for the bottom line. This would further widen the gap between the rich and poor and hasten the departure of the "middle class". On his good points, less government interferance in our lives would be a welcome thing, But, by privatizing all govt. entities, like cops, courts etc. do you believe with private prisons being built faster than greased lightning, the private cops who would probably work on a bonus system wouldnt be more ruthless than the ones we have now. No the privatization of America has gone far enough, the corporation already have a stranglehold on government. Just look at how Haliburton has raped the American taxpayer, and that is only what we know. If the Dems grow some balls, the real carnage of money squandering might be revealed. Ron Paul is too far out to be running this country.

As for Ron Paul and "private prisons". He wants to make all drugs LEGAL. He doesn't believe the constitution gives the government the right to outlaw any psychoactive substance. Over 80% of the increase in the federal prison population from 1985 to 1995 was due to drug convictions.
Do you think the big corporations and government who own the private prisons want that? No. They want Hillary Clinton, or Rudy Giulliani who will stiffen the drug laws, and increase the budget of the CIA. Speaking of the CIA, they ship the majority of cocaine in this country. John Kerry even came out and admitted it due to the overwhelming evidence. So the drug dealers not only profit from the drugs, but from the crisis they have created.
There is a reason you never hear Ron Paul on Foxnews or CNN. He is not in compliance with the elite who own the big media outlets. Therefore, they don't talk about him. They fund, and mold the public to vote for their little puppets. They own both the democrats and the republicans. I hate to say it, but pending a drastic awakening 2008 will be like 2004. One vote. One party. No choice. Sadly, ALL mainstream canidates are selected by a few elite before they are "elected" by the public. And even worse news, Ron Paul is not in that small group.

The only "negative" stuff i have found about this guy is that he is associated with conspiracy groups................exactly how is this "negative"? All that tells me is that if there is some horseshit going on in the government he will look for it and find it and since he is associated with these groups he will more than likely let the information out,and not LIE it into a huge mess like Iraq *cough* BUSH *cough*. Im not sure about making ALL drugs legal, that would be a mess and the harder, well addictive, life ruining, dangerous drugs IE meth,Crack,Heroin ect ect. should have some level of enforcement due to the effects of them on peoples lives. I would like to hear his thoughts on it though. Im all about someone who wants to pull us out of the Iraq mess, legalize marijuana, and holds tight to his opinions all the while only voting for laws and regulations that support the constitution. This guy has my vote, spread the word he needs more face time to get his name on the lips of all AMERICANS. I was gonna vote for the black guy (cant spell his name) if for nothing more than the fact he is black, ever walk up to a black guy and say "Hey want in on this blunt?' and his response was "No,hell no"? Ron Paul is looking like a better choice for AMERICA though becouse he states his intent with this subject while i cant fnd anything on the black dude and Clinton didnt even bother to respond, got a generated email saying she doesnt have time for me.

What are you talking about? What you said is an outright, bold LIE. Ron Paul for privatization? Do you know what privatization is? Privatization is when most all venues run by the federal government are farmed out to private companies, like Haliburton and the support of the troops in Iraq. It's when all government agencies that watchdog the corporations are shut down and the corporations are allowed to run rampant over the populace. It's like federal prisons being run by private companies. Libertarians are most definently for privatization of all government run programs, No medicare, no welfare, no social security, no income tax, Maybe a value added tax that would not affect the rich as much as the poor, A real libertarian is about a half an inch from Anarchy. I said that I was for some of his Ideas, Less Big brother shit, legalization of drugs and freedom from oppression, but a libertarian just switches the oppression from the government to private enterprize, and you know how ruthless they are, and they have no oversight. Before you start calling me a liar, maybe you should look into what libertarianism is really about. Then I will accept your apology. BTW I admire honesty in government and it appears he is an honest man, I just can't vote for anarchy. There has never been a successful libertarian government yet. What makes you think it will work here

A breif synopsis of libertarianism:1. What is a libertarian?
The word means roughly "believer in liberty". Libertarians believe in individual conscience and individual choice, and reject the use of force or fraud to compel others except in direct response to force or fraud. Some libertarians (the so-called Le Fevbrians) reject *all* use of force, even in self-defense.
2. What do libertarians want to do? Help individuals take more control over their own lives. Take the state (and other self-appointed representatives of "society") out of private decisions. Put both halves of the welfare/warfare bureaucracy out of business and liberate the 7/8ths of our wealth that's now soaked up by the costs of a bloated and ineffective government to make us all richer and freer. (This presupposes that everyone has some wealth which is not the case) Oppose tyranny everywhere, whether it's the obvious variety driven by greed and power-lust or the subtler, "well-intentioned" kinds that coerce people "for their own good" but against their will.
3. Where does libertarianism come from?
Modern libertarianism has multiple roots. An important one is the minimal-government republicanism of the U.S.'s founding revolutionaries, especially Thomas Jefferson and the Anti-Federalists. Adam Smith, John Stuart Mill and the "classical liberals" of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries were another influence. More recently, Ayn Rand's philosophy of "ethical egoism" and the "Austrian School" of free-market economics (This only benefits the wealthiest 10%) have both contributed important ideas. Libertarianism is alone among 20th-century radical movements in owing virtually nothing to Marxism. It does have some good principles, but the wider view is akin to anarchy.
