It seems like it is one extreme or the other for them. I know a lot grow their own or get it from relatives. But if one of those 40 year old friends approached you on the street asking for weed, wouldn't you be very wary?

It depends on the person and who they know. Most older smokers I have met either grow, or have a very hard time finding new hookups.
