"dro" is not a strain. therefore you wouldn't see it in the name of anything at a seed bank.

"dro" is short for hydroponic, which denotes a method of growing. It has nothing to do with the strain it is.

furthermore, if you've been confused by a friend or a dealer who's referred to a type of MJ as "so and so Dro", it's because either A.)it was grown hydroponically, or B.)someone along the line (usually the dealer) made the name up. (it's usually B).

If you're interested in growing using a hydroponic medium, then you should do some research in the hydroponic forums. Since you mention in your post that you're willing to spend good money on soil, then I'll venture to guess that you don't know much about hydroponics and how it works.

On the other hand, if you'd just like to try to grow some good mj indoors, start reading everything, and do the footwork necessary to learn everything you can about indoor gardening, and the plant you seek to cultivate. All the good equipment in the world is useless if you don't have the knowledge of how to properly use it. Good luck in your research!

Start with soil and organics, they are the hardest for a nOOb to fuck up, and get a bunch of reading behind you 1st.

if you got money, experiment and experiment. read everything, every single thing. don't take everyone's word for pro, it takes experience over time. i'd say reading is bout 60%, doing it is 30%, and 10% is luck haha.

to make it short, find out how much u wanna grow. look at all the pictures, plants can come out to be all sorts of sizes, esp with all the different strains n environmental controls.

for hydro, you'll need a TDS/EC meter (20 bucks on ebay), ph up and down (advanced nutrient brand is cool), pH meter (20 bucks on ebay), 400-1000W metal halide/HPS switchable with a ballast and reflector light (these things can be quite a lot, i got a 400W switchable for like 130 bucks, good for 3X3 square feet i think, MH gets hot...in my little closet, temp went from 75 to 92 so i had to get a window ac or portable ac that didn't use water cuz humidity can rott your stuff, get a few timers to control the hours and your AC), research the laws and stuff also, get some rockwool and read up on germination (paper towel method works nice), read up on advanced nutrients the grow micro n bloom get like a liter each on ebay combo for 35-40 bucks, decide what kind of hydro system ya wanna try...i tried the bubbler kind, it work fairly easy (u'll need stuff like hydroton, air pumps and thigns like air stones), find the dr chronic seedbank and they got a bunch, learn all about the life cycles, learn about the illnesses (very hard to tell if ur new so learn over time), have patiance and READ EVERYTHING. i read for hours upon hours for months and i still have so much to learn. i still read a lot, but i forget a lot...always try for more cuz u'll probably end up with hella dead babies, but u will learn after ur mistakes and try new things, try n figure out what u did right/wrong. its a learning experience heh, and no1 rule...keep your mouth shut is my top advice. u'll tell a few people and everyone will know, then once u have a nice crop, u'll b paranoid and end up gettin a gun and before u know it, flash bangs go off or ur ass is gettin held up in that gangsta shit. i hope this helps a little bit.
