Eating is 75% of it. The trick is cheating, but not overindulging. Fruit, egg whites, fish, boneless skinless chicken breasts, lean beef, lean prok chops, veggies, etc. Don't eat processed foods, stop drinking pop. Acetyl-L Carnitine helps boost your metabolism, highest lignan flax oil is good too. Just eat right, you know when your eating something that isn't healthy, it's been fried, BBQ'd(there's a difference between grilling and BBQ'ing), creamy dressings are bad for you. BUT one meal a week, you can have whatever the fuck you want and it shouldn't effect you as long as you don't get like 5 double whoppers and an entire ice cream cake from DQ.

As far as lifting and cardio goes. It all depends on what your going for. They way I lift is to build lean muscle and strength training. Like today is chest and Bi's, i'll do 3 sets of 10 reps(3x10) at 225lbs on the flat bench, on incline bench i'll do 3x10 at 155lbs, decline dumbell press i'll do 3x10 w/ 65lbs dumbells, Bicep barbell curls i'll do 3x10 at 80lbs, hammer presses 2x10 35lbs, cable reverse curls 2x10 at 100lbs. That is pretty much how I set up each workout. I lift four days a week and do 40 minutes on the bike at a high resistance 3 days a week. I break the lifting down into legs, chest and bi's, back and tris, and shoulders delt's. You want to include atleast 3 core lifts like squat, deadlift, and benchpress. Squat and deadlift are the two most important lifts you can do period.

You have to combine all three aspects though to acheive maximum results. Eating right is 3/4's of the deal but cardio and lifting are an integral part too, plus you might even find it to be fun. I still don't like doing cardio, but I LOVE lifting. Get after it and don't get discouraged. I am 5'5" 190lbs. I was almost 230 in October. I had never weighed over 200lbs in my life and I knew something had to change drastically. I still have about 30lbs to go but I am so much stronger than I have ever been before in my life and even though I smoke and drink my cardiovascular strength has improved a great deal, I played a pickup game of lacrosse yesterday and I wasn't the one sucking air the whole time, it was great.

If you do get into lifting. You will want to try Kre-Alkalyn, it is better than creatine. I will swear by this stuff, it is great.
