What do you mean by special classes? Like AP? Or once we got to college?

Yeah, AP is hard. And yeah, college is hard, too. But compared to AP, it's probably about the same or more relaxed. Getting that much college credit simply through doing those AP classes is a really big gift, only you can't realize it when you're mired down in having to study, especially at this time of year.

Stick with it. Finishing AP courses in the spring of your senior year sucks. But colllege, if you're meant to take that avenue in life, is an amazing time. Tons of fun. Hard work, too. But it makes a huge difference in your future. You can't always see that when you're there or beforehand.

I took AP English, AP history, and AP biology. I was nearly ready to have a nervous breakdown. But it paid off when I didn't have to take those courses in college and got to take other stuff I was more interested in instead. Keep that in mind!

I go to the University of Missouri. I love it here; I'm so glad I picked it. My highschool GPA was 3.3 if I remember correctly. And I was the slacker type that was naturally smart or good at testtaking and never took any book home, but still got A's and B's. I don't think college classes are bad, though. My spanish class is kinda hard, cause its advanced composition(like there are spanish professors taking the class). But I got 16 backcredit hours for being in advanced spanish(free semester pretty much). I'm a freshman. I'm not going to take any more advanced classes though. Not that its that hard for me. I'd just rather take my time a little bit and enjoy the time I have here.

I do hate my english teacher though. I swear if she were just the slightest bit dumber, she'd probably get checks from the government.

Oh and statistics. I hate it. The textbook doesn't explain anything. I wrote the publishers a letter cussing them out about how terrible the book was.

Other than that, classes aren't bad.

AP is the right track - between the AP exams and dual enrollment in my local college I graduated from high school (at age 16 I might add) with 20 hours credit or so. I had about a 94/100 average (my high school calculated GPAs in an odd way) and a 4.0 all through college. College is a totally different experience. Trust me. You need to work your ass off in high school and get into the college that best fits your needs. Then life gets exactly 1,000,000 times better. You're doing things you want to do, taking classes you are interested in (for the most part), learning from teachers who are excited about teaching and with students who are excited to be learning - at least I was. It is a wonderful experience and well worth a couple of shitty years in high school. You will be preparing yourself for the rest of your life. Go for it.

You thinking about the future shows your maturity and understanding of the world around you. I'm in school at The University of Tampa, high school gpa was a 3.8 unweighted and a 4.3 weighted, I took AP classes and many an online course. Just keep your mind open and have a good perception on life and you'll be fine.

I graduated highschool with a 1.8 GPA. I didn't do anything the last couple of years. Currently in a University due to decent ACT scores. It really just depends where you go. Some schools are easy some aren't.

    I go to Southern Oregon University...with a 3.0...and I am almost a JUNIOR.

..I graduated high school with the bare minimum of credits...and a 2.2.

My senior year I was only enrolled in 3 classes and had 93 absences.

..oh...and I never went to a single detention.

...and I am 21 years old.
I never took any special classes in high school, in fact I hardly took the bare minimum.
