Tomorow is the big day!!!! As some of you guys might know, I have been diagnosed with a chronic disease that causes me alot of pain (H.S.). On Monday I had told my dermatologist the fact that the Vicodin HP (10MG codeine, 660 APAP) he perscribed me was no longer relieving my pain, as I now have to take 2 pills and that it ony relieves me of about 80% of my daily pain for about 2 hours. He sayed that the reduce in affectiveness was due to my increasing opium tolerance, and that I would have to go see my general doctor in order to get stronger pain medicine but he would fax over my papers and explain my situation.(Really nice doctor Btw). So tomorow morning I have an appointment and hopefully, I will recieve some medicine that will hopeflly give me my previous life back. I've tried smoking weed as a pin reliever, but here in Dallas I have not been able to find any strain that would help. Do you guys know what medicine I might be perscribed? Hopefully I won't be too dizzy to go to work or class....

Hydrocodone seems like quite a jump to make from what you were taking before. 10mg codein is a VERY weak dose, T-3's contain 30 as it is and I've taken 60mg without any analgesia. The 660 APAP is just another term for aspirin or acetaminophen, both mild over-the-counter stuff.

But man, I envy you in a way, I only wish I could get something strong enough like that to provide real pain relief. Addiction is likely if you use it regularily though, so keep an eye on that and don't take them whenever you can manage. If you are, however, concerned about something with that addiction potential, maybe you should ask about Tramadol. It's a synthetic partial morphine-receptor agonist, but only 10% as strong as morphine and a very low addiction potential. A good compromise between the weak-ass codein and powerfull hydrocodone (which contains codein and thebeine).

Also, opiates can be constipating as hell when your body's not used to them. If you get constipation really bad, drinking a 1/2 cup olive oil with 1/2 cup orange jiuce is a surefire cure. But that dose is pretty strong and will make you have several "oily movements", so you should probably start with 1/4 to 1/4 and see if that works first. Trust me, you'll want to keep that in mind.

Was today your medicine day, UTD Smoker? Did you get something that's helping your pain? I wouldn't have been able to hazard a guess at all as to what they'd give you. But I sure hope it helps!

some kid recently gave me 99.5 vicodin and they were gone in less than 9 days lol

Ok he perscribed me 10Mg OxyContin (I have the generic it says Oxycodone ES), and Oxycodone 5Mg. He sayed they have a really high retail value however.
Please be aware I am slightly opium dependant, as I used to have to take 2 10 MG/660 Mg APAP Hydrocodones in order to take my pain away. I take the Contins twice daily and the other only for acute pain. However so far, I am not impressed with the pain effectiveness, as I started on Thursday night, and its been two days as of now .

Non-synthetic opiods (including oxycontin/codone) can have their effects strongly potentiated by drinking grapefruit jiuce with them. So try that if you think you need it, but I don't know how much to drink so take it easy at first.

i think that when i tore the ligament and muscle in my foot and the hydrocodone stopped working they gave me percocet. it knocked me out.

I deleted everything from when this thread took a different twist. IF you are prescribed a med and wondering on side effects with M.J., etc.....great. If your going to add about effects based on recreational use your going to blow it for those that need assistace. DON'T wreck a good thing....please.
