can anyone answer these questions?

im using a waterfarm hydro system with 400w swichable...soon i will be gettin a hydro hut for my veg/clone section while the rest of the room will be flower...my questions are besides the strain how do you get your buds dense as can be...and if it is strain which ones are dense....my other question is...is it bad for a vegging plant to get a bit of hps when im in the room tending to both areas and is it bad for flowerin plant to get a bit of floresents...if anyone can help that would be great.

low humidity will help your budz density. there are several nutes out there that will help. go to your hydro store look for canna products or humbolt county has a good line. they are a little expensive but worth the money. as for your light issues you will be fine but get them seperated when you get your new systym... good luck you seem to be on the right path:jointsmile:

thanks...any other advice from other gorwers that are more expereinced than me...would like to get more views on the cross contamination of light...also im waterin 15min every three hours but it seem to need more in later stage of flower any suggestions???

Not bad at all. Unless the flowers get light during darkness of course.

excelent...i thought it would be ok since they sell lights that run both halide and sodium....also my friend is veggin with a T5 that has 8 bulbs...4 are blue and 4 are red...can he bud with that...if so how would it do?

What do you mean by cross contamination?
Light leaks during the dark cycle are BAD.
But light of other wavelengths hitting the leaves during the 'day' is fine! I mean, as long as there is enough light of the CORRECT spectrum, more light isn't going to hurt! Some growers like to run those systems that hold a HPS AND a MH in flower!
Increased bud density also comes from the availablility of carbohydrates in the soil. Stuff like Sweet for carbs. Then there's other supplements like the Yeag said, that 'gravity' stuff from Humbolt, I think it's a special type of sea kelp that is very beneficial to plants during bloom, topmax has the same species but it might be a different source- my fertilizer guy SWEARS by gravity, I have had success with various combinations of topmax, sweet, and regular molasses and just plain Neptunes Harvest kelp extract.

Female seeds ice is extremely dense,rock hard to be exact.Blockhead is another dense indica.You're going to find besides low flowering humidity(I set my dehumidifier for 40% RH),its mainly going to be strain dependent.Serious seeds AK47 or female seeds grapefruit are good examples of strains that are rather fluffy no matter the environment,this is what I've found.The indica's will be mostly dense while indica-sativa hybrids and sativa's will not be dense
