Help jog my memory about a movie.
Hey, when I was much younger, probably 6 or 7 I saw a movie on TV that scared the shit outta me. I don't remember much of what happened, but I would really like to know the name of the movie and see it again.
From what I remember there was a picture on the wall in this house that depicted different scenes of a demon type thing coming out of a grave or swamp or something (i can't remember) and it would slowly make its way to the house. I don't remember if the picture changed, or if there were alot of different pictures, but what happened was a guy would be in the house, see the pictures, get scared shitless because he thought a demon or zombie was coming to the house, and at the very last picture, were the demon thing was at the door, there was a noise at the door. It happend many times to different people who got into the house.
I don't remember if people got killed or what, thats all I can recall, but if anybody knows what I'm talking about I would love to know what that movie was called. Sorry for the shitty description. You will be my personal hero if you can answer this. Thanks.40oz Reviewed by 40oz on . Help jog my memory about a movie. That sounds a lot like one of my favorite episodes of the old Night Gallery TV series. The pilot episode had three stories, and the last one was called The Cemetery. Roddy McDowell played this highly mercenary nephew of an ailing elderly millionaire. He kills his uncle so that he can inherit the fortune, but after the old man is dead and buried Roddy's character begins noticing that this picture of the house which shows the nearby family cemetery changes just a little each time he looks at it. First he notices his uncle's fresh grave has been added, then that the grave has been opened, next the coffin is rising out of the ground and so on until he sees that his uncle's corpse is right outside the door. Just then he hears a knock and it scares him so badly he has a heart attack and dies. We then find out that his uncle's butler was behind the whole thing, constantly switching out the painting to mess with the nephew's head. He knew that there was a clause in the old man's will that said should anything happen to his nephew that his entire estate would then be inherited by his loyal butler Portefoy. The real kicker is that later that night as Portefoy is sitting by the fire enjoying some brandy and chuckling over how cleverly he had disposed of the nephew the painting begins to change right before his eyes. This time the nephew is rising from the cemetery to take his revenge. That's where the episode ends. That show was really well done, with high suspense and excellent acting. Night Gallery: The Complete First Season is available on DVD for about $30 if you're interested. All of the episodes are creepy and entertaining and I highly recommend it.

Wow thanks for solving the mystry of the Movie that changed my childhood fears forever. I never thought I would know.
Was that in the same seris as the short movie where this guy sees this demon thing in reflections and it tries to kill him and at the end he is looking into this girl's eyes and the demon thing appears and kills him? That wasn't as scary but it was pretty cool.

I'm glad I could be of assistance. Hmmm that sounds familiar, but it might have been an episode of Tales From The Darkside. LOL, I've seen so many episodes of many different horror tv shows that sometimes it's hard to tell what came from which series. The one that scared me silly as a kid was an episode of Tales From The Darkside called The Grither. This creepy grandfather is telling a story to his grand kids about an evil monster called the Grither, that can hear over thousands of miles and likes nothing better than eating children. The crux of the story is that to keep the Grither at bay once you have mentioned its name you have to finish telling the story before the creature manages to hunt you down. I can't remember how that one ends but boy did it ever give me nightmares.

no i dont think thats it. I read a stephen king short story that i know for a fact has been made into a movie where a guy buys a painting at a garage sale and apparently the picture is demonic and shows all this fucked up stuff and in the very end shows the demon at his door. I cant remember the name but im pretty sure thats what it was.
