My first grow with a little effort. This time
My seeds are from a somewhat known source. Meaning ive seen the plants they come from and tasted them also. Excellent! I know 2 of them are from indoor and are a 90 day plant with a single cola and possibly a few straglers. The other 4 are from the smae source but was from an outdoor crop w/ 7'+ plants/trees..lol. But i am going to flower them when it is time to do the 2 indoor ones. Finally I have one more from a good bag! That is just incase others turn out male.
-Soil: Scoots Premium potting soil .o7-.01-.03
w/added perlite. 20% added and i have added a pinch of bone meal.
-Lights: 4 cfl's 42watt 6500k and 4 42watt cfl 2700k. probaly run 6 of them
two 27's and 4 65's for veg and vise-versa for flowering..
-fertilzers: super thrive & worm casting tea. and something else. I want your reply on another.(veg) Jack Perter's pro bloom 10-30-20. (flower)
I would love to get advise through-out the grow on anything and everything except my lighting unless it is on the lighting i already have.aziz93 Reviewed by aziz93 on . Things are looking pretty good...There are some things I would change however....
One would be that I would refrain from usin that Scott's for the seedling stage. Those premixed soils tend to be too strong for little ones....having said that I used one my first grow. I did not like it. Also you added bonemeal (another additive that shouldn't be added until out of the seedling stage, btw), that has P in it and is good for flowering not vegging. Seriously, I'd repot before they sprout....sorry. Use plain potting soil nothing added and pearlite...that's it. Nothing else.
The other thing I would do is back off those lights until your pop the soil...I am assuming they haven't yet since you still have cellophane over the top of your container. You don't technically need light to germinate seeds and having them that close it just makes the soil dry out quite fast. Really that isn't that important...just trying to be helpful.
Good Luck, I'm watching.... Bree
Crumb again...I used Miracle Grow Bloom fert 15-30-15 and liked it...There are better out there...this was just cheap and easy to find

the lights that close are for heat. the sran rap is keeping the mositure in it is like75-80% humiduty in there. i have not added the bone meal to the jiffy pots. i bought the bone meal because it said it will help develope a good strong root system.
i think i might ditch the log.. i would love the help but i am scared of posting pics.

ok they are 18 days old....and booming! 4 have 3 sets of 9 finger leafs and 2 have a set of 11 finger leafs. the smallest stalk is as fat as a sharpy marker. 6-7 nodes all off them. but what is funny is that none are bigger then 6 inches tall but have a 14 inch spread with leafs bigger then they are tall! the under growth on then is amazing also. the only way the see the stalk is to move stuff out the way and then you can only see 3/8 of an inch of the stalk..
i know i am rambling
do nutes hurt leafs in splashed on them?

Also i am armed with tds and ph meter now. any tips with what i should be doing with the tds on a soil grow would be nice. (ex..test the water mix, runoff, both? i am think start at 200ppm's in a week and work up to 800 if they like it. for veg. or do you even use a tds meter for a soil grow?
