    Hermie problem - good photos

I have 2 white widows growing in my cupboard.

They're 2-3 weeks into flowering roughly, and yesterday I noticed male pods on one of them.

I've picked off quite a few, mostly on the lower branches which are less important, there's no fan to blow the pollen around.

so far only two of the pods I found had pollen in, one I pulled off, and the other blew it's load over the stem.

Is it worth keeping this plant? it's only just showing thc. Will it be ok if I pull as many pods as I can see each day?

I'm growing out my other plant regardless so I don't want to waste it.

    many thanks

I pulled male flowers off 3 hermies for two weeks and it worked. Have to check morning and night though, they can pop up in half a day. Spilled pollen will pollenate the buds where they spill. Spray male flowers with water before carefully chopping.

mmmm, might be a bit difficult with 5-6 weeks left of flower. I guess I'll have to do it, this one is 50% bigger than my other plant.

Is it true thc production stops after a bud is seeded? Is it possible for a bud to only be partially seeded and still produce thc?

Its quite possible for a cola to only get partially seeded, I saw that with several of my pollinated buds. They became pollinated only where pollen lands, so a couple of seeds grew out of otherwise fine female buds, e.g. a few seeds in otherwise fine colas, a bit further away and lots of seeds in colas that got misted with pollen that were close up.

I think thc may go down, but you'll still get bud if you're diligent.

you're gonna end up getting a lot of them off...I fucked with hermie monster last grow...too tedious for me. killed my back. Either way, there's male flowers that pop out inside the buds...hidden behind leaves..hard to get all of them and you can still end up with just as many that you can't see as you have seen and removed..if it's your only one, let it grow, if you've got others chop it down..not worth all the seeds. if it's only the one plant..go for it and see what it gives you I guess..as long as you don't mind some seeds.

They can change into hermies quite differently. I was only picking 2-3 male buds altogether every 2-3 days on 3 gals, caught them early, kept them clean. 3 colas got seeded, then a couple of colas got a little seeded, then a bunch of popcorn buds that didnt really worry me. Made about 200g pretty much unseeded.

the THC percentage stays the same, its the yeild that gets sacrificed...

haha I had one and i thought i was doomed, i'm sure glad i didn't kill it cuz that bud was bomb as hell. i'd spray it, slice em off with a razor...never did get to see what the pollen looked like or anything, the ballz were still wet n undeveloped. i did this for a few weeks and they stopped appearing =).
