What are your local cannabis laws?
Here in Columbia, MO, possession of up to 35 grams of cannabis and/or cannabis paraphernalia is not an arrestable offense and is punishable by a maximum fine of $250. Even that is spottily enforced; out of the first 350 cannabis citations, less than 10 were even prosecuted. It's a good place to live for stoners.

What are your local cannabis laws?
There have been so many local decriminalization movements around the country in the past five years. I think it's only a matter of time now.

D etails
Possession of marijuana is punishable by 90 days - 6 months in jail and a fine up to $1,000. Possession with intent to
manufacture or deliver a controlled substance is a felony and can result in imprisonment of not less than one year and not
more than five years, or a fine of fifteen thousand dollars, or both.
Conviction of possession of less than 15 grams triggers an automatic conditional discharge. Conditional discharge does
not apply to a defendant who has previously been convicted of any offense relating to narcotic drugs or marijuana.
Cultivation, delivery or sale is punishable by 1 - 5 years in prison and a fine up to $15,000. Sale to a minor or sale within
1,000 feet of a school requires a two-year mandatory minimum sentence for the sale.
Transportation of marijuana into the state with the intent to deliver is punishable by 1 - 5 years in prison and a fine up to
$15,000.
Subsequent offenses double the possible penalties.
Operating an illegal drug paraphernalia business is punishable by 6 months - 1 year in jail and a fine up to $5,000.
Conditional release: The state allows conditional release or alternative or diversion sentencing for people
facing their first prosecutions. Usually, conditional release lets a person opt for probation rather than trial. After
successfully completing probation, the individual's criminal record does not reflect the charge.
Mandatory minimum sentence: When someone is convicted of an offense punishable by a mandatory
minimum sentence, the judge must sentence the defendant to the mandatory minimum sentence or to a higher
sentence. The judge has no power to sentence the defendant to less time than the mandatory minimum. A
prisoner serving an MMS for a federal offense and for most state offenses will not be eligible for parole. Even
peaceful marijuana smokers sentenced to "life MMS" must serve a life sentence with no chance of parole.Originally Posted by Mrs. Greenjeans

In Madison, Wisconsin, it's only a fine if you have 25 grams or under. Anything above that, and they consider that it was intent to sell/distribute/traffick. So if you have 25 grams or under, you do not get a criminal record, and you only get a fine... no prosecution. Of course, this isn't because the fuckers know the truth about Cannabis, but because they are lacking funds to prosecute everyone who has even a small amount of weed on them. Hopefully soon enough it will at least be completely decriminalized, or possible even legalized. We're not criminals, goddamnit!

My buddy just got busted with 2 grams the other week in Central Florida. Spent the night in jail, got sentenced to a year of probation and some odd hours of community service.

In PA I believe you get in more trouble for paraphenalia than an ounce which is wierd. I think for up to 30 gs you get 6 months and or $250 fine, for paraphenalia you get 6 months to 1 year and or up to $2000 fine. Not one hundred percent sure but I think its right.
