it is definately from the group of kids in the 70s
but the thing is, i heard 420 wasn't even the cops code for marijuana.
but im not sure if i believe that, because i saw a cop walk by me once and the walkie talkie said "we got a 420 over here."
so yeah... i dunno..

I think what happened was that they adopted it as code for marijuanasince it's such an easily recognized euphamism
