Like I said in my past post, it's really a tricky situation. Although your parents are ok with it, you have to understand the dangers of someone stumbling onto it. It can go a few ways; They can call the cops, They can steal it, they can find out that someone at the location grows and stage a break in. If I saw a plant outside common sense must tell me that theirs probly herb on the inside. As for how many, again I must say a few, all in differant locations. No groups, and keep them some what short. Keep it low key. . .

Oh, I forgot to mention this on the other post but since this is the same subject, try to have your location not be too out of the way. You want to be able to scope out your spot before entering it. You never know who is around. . .
