The trick is to warm it gradually... Actually thats the easy part, its gotta cool gradually too, or it will likely crack!

What I'm having trouble with is getting the glass to flow. I will get it cherry red and it'll be fairly soft to the touch (of a heated metal poker), but it wont start flowing... Maybe I just need to torch it longer...

I was planning on suber heating a 40oz until the glass gets goopy (with my propane torch), and then letting it sag to form an inverted nipple. Going for a farily large nip. Then I figure on drilling a small hole in the center, and claying it in place on a stem. Anybody done anything like this before? Any tips on getting the glass to sag like that?
