I'm going to make an anology, and at first it will sound stupid, but it is not. Outdoor marijuana growing is a lot like on line Texas Hold-em. If you love doing it, and you stick with it, and if you stay small time, it can be a rewarding hobby. If you charge into it to make money you will become a loser every single time.
