Yea you'd think that applying any type of pressure on it would...pressure it!

I know they have these things called Kief Pressers, which let you press varied amounts of Kief together into a small solid cylinder.

Perhaps grinding up the weed and doing a similar process would work?

how much are you dealing with here? If its ounces or keys then use a vice or something...if its an eigth or a Q then just tape it up good and tight and then stick it to the bottom of your shoe and go for a nice long hike.
