Take a paper towel and fold it into a square and run it under water. Put the seed(s) on the damp paper towel and fold it over again to cover the seed. I put it on a flat dinner plate, with another plate to cover it.
Then put that in a dark place for 3-4 days. Check up on it, make sure the paper towel is still damp (but dont drown the seed), and when the sprouts are 1/2cm, put them into soil.

I've put it in total darkness, but as soon as it sprouts I'm going to move it to something like a Rating: 5
