One of my favorite Pink Floyd albums which I happen to own is The Piper at the Gate of Dawn. Done in '67 when Syd Barret was still in the band it is shear insanity. Wildest tunes to listen to while baked. I'd reccomend Pow. R. Toc. H. and Bike.

Yeah man I know what you mean I love Piper. All Pink Floyd is awesome def. one of my top 3 favorite bands along with Hendrix and Led Zep.

Animals is a great album. The anti-establishment lyrics actually carry meaning because they're not some stupid simple-minded shit like "George Bush is a war criminal he needs to go" kind of boring stuff. It makes ya THINK!

On a Making Of DSotM DVD I have, it gives some interviews with Roger, David, Rick and Nick, and even though it's from the 90s, Roger has a horribly faint voice. David's still comes strong. I'd much rather go see one of David's shows than Roger's, though.

Great find! My favorite song from SfoS is probably Lucifer Sam, Chapter 24, or Astronomy Domine.

This might be blasphemy, but I can't stand Waters.. Yeah, occasionally he has good melodies and he might be a good song writer, but he's a second rate Bass player and a third-rate performer. When he performs his own stuff he sounds stupid and when he performs Pink Floyd stuff it's even worse, and he actually changes the melodies of some of Floyd's most well-known songs!! Give me Gilmour any day!

I step back and appreciate Roger Waters as a musician.

Im pretty sure he wrote most of the WALL...if not all of it

AND...you have to BE a musician to be able to even play with that band...

You cant just know how to play an instrument....you've got to know how to read music, know rythyms....and for the 17 minute songs of pink floyd....it takes a lot of practice
