    My stupid house.

My last house was 96 yrs old. I redid everything from electric to sheetrock to landscaping. 3 years of blood sweat and tears. I loved it. It was in an up and comming area. Guy who bougt it..TORE IT DOWN! Built a whole new house. I almost cried.

Have any of you ever seen the show "If Walls Could Talk"? Its on HGTV and its about really old homes that people have redone and all the things they learn about the history of the homes and the people that used to live in them. I really like it but I am both a history and design nerd. If you watch it you might get some cool period design ideas if you want to go in that direction for decoration.

At least we've got it under control enough that now we're actually living in the damn thing.

To bring random folks up to speed: we bought a 94 year old house. Yes, we realized it was going to need some TLC, but damn. The chick that owned it before us lied on the paperwork, as did the realtors. It has plumbing issues out the yingyang. We signed on it Feb 23, but couldn't actually move into it until this past week. The furnace didn't work, the water heater didn't work, and we had 28 leaks. So, here are pictures of the hole in my livingroom ceiling/bathroom floor. We have retained an attorney:thumbsup:
I hope your work is better than the shoemaker before you...

LOL! That's actually a stopgap measure put in place so we could shower without soaking the livingroom floor. We're using it to measure just how much water is leaking out.

It's pervy. It's only gross if you don't like to go downtown.
