Today a cop pulled me and a few friends over for speeding. We were on the way to pick up another friend, and one of my friends was driving my car. The cop pulled us over and of course asked for license and registration and whatnot. When he noticed the car wasn't registered to him, I vouched and said it was my car. He checked my license, and then asked me to step out of the car. I then rolled up all of my windows and stepped out. However, I didn't lock the doors...kind of a bad mistake at this point. The officer asked me if there was any marijuana in the car. I said no, and he said that one of my friends looked "glass eyed". There really wasn't any marijuana in the car, but my pipe was in my bookbag, which was in my floor board. The officer then OPENED UP my car door without asking (which I think is against my rights), and asked who's bookbag that was in the floor board. I asid it was mine, and then he asked what was up under the bookbag. My friend then lifted up the bookbag, and as my luck would have it, there was a pack of cigars under there. He asked me who smoked cigars, and I said I did. He then asked mre "Are you aware that these are commonly used to roll marijuana in?" I replied "Yes, but that's not what I use them for." He then asked to search the car. I said "I don't consent to searches. This is my mom's car, and I know she wouldn't want you searching it as well." The officer then had a disgruntled look on his face and told me to step back inside the car. He then pulled my friend who was driving out and talked to him. That's when the officer noticed a banner on the back of my car that I had in memory of a friend who passed away. This particular dead friend's dad just happened to be a highway patrolman, and the officer who pulled us over was his old partner. He let us go with a minor speeding ticket. I think our old friend was really with us today, lol.

Anyways this still goes to show that the justice system really is corrupted...
