So I've been wanting to make brownies for a while, and decided to do it last night after coming upon this recipe.

However, there were a few things I did different from the recipe.

-I did not grind the weed up completely, only a little bit.

-^I did that because I did not have a gold toned coffee filter, and assumed I could use a normal strainer, so I kept the weed just bigger than the holes in the strainer.

-The brownie mix I used had a few differences. It only called for 1/4 a cup of cooking oil, instead of 1/2. In addition, I used a 13x9x2 pan instead of 8x8,as again, that's what the recipe called for.

So I did the extraction on a temp somewhere in between medium and low. It was always just below a simmer, and I stirred the bud in the oil for a good 20 minutes, until the oil took on a brownish tinge, and my weed had turned dark brown, almost black.

Went through the rest as normal, took em out of the oven, and let them cool for about an hour. Then I cut it in to 20 pieces, and ate a few. After about an hour, I fell asleep. And now I'm thinking I just wasted 5 grams. I can't even taste weed in the brownies, and I either went to sleep too fast for me to feel the effects (how long is it supposed to take, anyway?), or I screwed something else up. Anyone have any idea?
