Hi From The Orlando Area
Hi WinterSpringsJan, I live in your old area, D/FW
Welcome
Good luck on finding a hookup there, you know how it is- seems like you'll never get a reliable source but eventually you do.

Hi From The Orlando Area
What part of DFW? I grew up in Lakewood over by White Rock and Lower Greenville Avenue. Lived there until we moved here. I miss the Tex-Mex and brisket.

Hi From The Orlando Area
Hey there! I used to live in East Orlando a few years back. It can be a cool place to live once you get used to the heat and traffic. I've actually been thinking about moving back in the near future. There are just so many more job opportunities down there.

Used to go to White Rock Lake A LOT when I was a kid. Loved it when the spillway would freeze over.
Texas will miss you, but I hope you get to liking it there. I lived in a different state for a few years and I missed the food here soooo much (esp bbq and mexican oh and Jack in the Box tacos), so I understand your longing for the Tex Mex and brisket. Hopefully you like seafood and that will help make up for it.

Hi From The Orlando Area
Actually, if you have ever been to Winter Springs, not much. LOL We need to get out more and explore. Find a few good bars to have some beers at and just chill. Looks like you are in the Orlando area too. Got any suggestions? Winter Springs is so suburb driven and not too many places to go unless you like the chain restaurant scene. I am more of a nice dive kind of person, if that makes sense.

Hi From The Orlando Area
I hear ya. But, it's not like you're out in the sticks either.
Go to downtown Orlando and check out some of the bars around Orange St., Pine St. and Magnolia.
Orange St. is the main drag and 1-way. You won't have a hard time finding it at all.
I like to go to The Globe, The Matador, Pine St. Bar...whenever I get downtown. Mostly, I just hang out at the Ale House.
Be warned to stay the hell out of Altamonte Springs. Cops are everywhere and they have some really messed up drinking/driving laws.
Example: If a cops witnesses you having a drink, you must wait 1 hour since your last drink before driving anywhere OR they can stop you for suspicion of DUI.
Hence, the cops that work security at some of these bars just wait for folks to leave and then radio their buddies that are hiding round the corner. Then, they pull you over and start the interogation. As far as I know, this law is only being enforced in Altamonte Springs.

Hi From The Orlando Area
Hello from Orlando!
I know what you mean about missing that Tex-Mex...none better than in Texas.
Orlando can be a chill city, if you find the right places to hang. Welcome!
