    lights???

im still plannin out my grow room, i figure plannin it out properly an thinkin of as much as i can before i start will save me time and money later on. But i am very unsure of what lights i should be using my friend says try usin the halogen (spellin?!) flood lights that people use to light their gardens. I can see the theory but i dont think garden flood lights are designed to be on 18 hours of the day?? if this will work then thats fine, if not what should i be lookin for, is their anywhere online where you can buy lightin systems. thanks guys.

    lights???

halogens are absolute crap for growing Mj as they dont have the right light spectrum..you need a high pressure sodium light which are also used in floodlights..you'll need a 250w + depending on how many your'e planning on growing...if its jus a few a 250w will do fine! any more an id go for the 400w an more..be careful though 400w's+ get incredibly hot so u'll need some way of getin' rid of that heat!..there is lodsa online stores that sell hps lights jus' do a online search for hydroponics, hps light, whatever an you'll find what you need! happy growing!!

I would grow less than 5 plants under a 250, like 3, or grow 5 under the 400. You can buy an air cooled hood and shit should be ok.

Virus, this is a cheaper setup, and a 6 yr. warranty:

    http://www.mdhydro.com/ht-high-pressure-sodium.html

Go with 400watts, and for using only ONE light to grow, HPS is better, because at flowering time, when budding this is most important to get good buds, and the difference in MH, and HPS for vegative growth isn't that much.
