Correctomundo. It takes 61 votes in the senate and there are 49 repubes, no deal. May be closer in the house, but most politicians are afraid of voters and old people vote.

medicinal use would make it a schedule 2 controlled substance, with little or no improvement on its chances for legalization. this might even make it more difficult since the pharmaceutical companies would then get into the act.
