help in recovery?
it could, but then with marijuana being the "gateway" drug, many medics will think that the addicts will just return to their old ways,

help in recovery?
I don't know much about addiction...I'm only a pot smoker :P but I did find when I quit smoking cigs it was easier to switch to clove cigarettes because they don't have as much nicotine. So it was really changing one addiction for another, but in the long run I quit cloves as well and now only smoke weed.
I don't think I would recomend it though, because I would assume most addicts can get the drugs they are trying to quit from the same person they get their weed from...and that itself could be a very dangerous link. I really think it would be best to just avoid all addictive substances for some time. However, if I was trying to quit something like crack or heroin, I would probably smoke bud to ease my addictive behavior...but again I don't know much about addiction so I hope nobody takes my advice as sound advice
