Correction, in 1915 Utah passed the first state anti marijuana tax. Reefer Madness was released in 1936. In 1936 they were telling us if we smoked marijuana we would kill our family. That was the reason cannabis was outlawed. Pure criminal.

What better way to ensure your population doesn't skyrocket then giving them for a product known to kill hundreds of thousands of people annaully.
