I have never used DWC. How is it less maintenence than ebb and flow?

I plan on using the 400 MH for the vegetation room and the other 2 X 1000 HPS systems in the bud room. I have never grown with a hydro set up, I'm new to it but have been doing plenty of research. I want to put together a bud room using a hydro set-up that is most efficient yielding with 2 1000 watt bulbs. With 2 1000 watt bulbs, what kind of hydro set up will maximize my crop?
