Dive's photo grow log

:) my last log was my first hydro attempt(titled pro hydro) the results were so good i felt the need to quit postin' pic's(still i was unsatisfied w/the end result).So this time im doin an organic type soil mix (like i usually do),and i'm gonna be more brave about postin pic's.
The pics this time are of my current and future mom's,my cloner/clone's,and under all of that is my grow room w/you'll see better later.I will be happy to explain any part of my method including my prefered soil and nute mix.(not including my current nute and soil info.which I will explain at the end of the log.)
Becouse this is a photo grow log i plan to provide lotsa pic's for you plant porn fiend's.I hope that you all enjoy my log ...and that some of you learn a thing or two :)
P.S. yes its bright...i darkened the pic's on purpose :)

here's a lil more detail. pic 1 is B-52 from nirvana seeds(skunkxbig bud), 2 is K-2 from nirvana seeds (NLxbigbud), 3 is white shark,4 is big blue,5 is cloner close up.

6 is my shelves/res./tool's,7 is my exhaust fan/carbon filter/note board,8 is my room from afar to show my actual room is under there somewhere :).

I never saw the pro hydro log, and I'll look for it in a minute..but I have some q's. I see you have two lights....they look like MH because the color is so good...but you said you darkened them. Are they switchable ballast er....? Also did you buy that filter? I'm assuming so because it is one tight lady. Also what kind and size fan is that? Is that your only fan for extraction? Passive or fan for intake?

yea I have 2-4 foot hoods on 1000w switchable ballast's(the lil lite is for clones only).the fan and filter are from ecoplus-4 inchers,2-4 inch passive intake's.ty for stoppin' in and for your q's :)

check out how fat the leave's are on this lil bag seed,it leans heavily to the indica side of the spectrum, pretty cool.:)

these 36 "big blue" clone's are for a different room....we have a 5 room co-op :thumbsup:

ok the first pic is of the underside of cloner...(no roots yet) others are just updated mother pic's.

What a difference a day make's...I see roots forming :) woohoo.....And look at the seedlings! they're doin great things too (3 are K2-3 are B52-1 white shark an 2 quality bag seed). And the old mother's which will be in a flower room soon are doin great too.(big blue's).

ok these root's are ready to go but my boy hasn't got his room ready yet so im on hold a min. i need these out so i can run my own clone's....my mothers are gettin too big ,i need to get this thing rockin'.

One thing I have observed... is that the clone's who recieve accidental M.H.light...root way slower....notice the right side of cloner is slower to root than left...difference is m.h. on right.

first pic is "the mom's". second is one of 24 drain bucket's(the lil thing in the middle is a spacer so the bucket's dont stick together). ,third is one of 24 planter buckets(to be filled soon w/soil).the hydroton is to ensure good drainage.some of the seedlings responded badly to the nitrogen i gave them so I flushed and should be back to ok soon. and still.. my boy is not ready to take these clone's.....maybe tomorrow........

ok my buddy FINALLY picked up his clone's so we can start mine...i have also decided to place my larger-older mother's out in the yard :) I will of course keep updated pic's of that for you.

YAY finally we can start our clone's..(by "our" I mean you and I) pic 1 is of the new clone's "our clone's".there are seven different strain's in there.the second pic is of the seedling's (soon to be relocated to a veg. room)they are lookin' fine but need me to transplant them."banjo frog" recieved so much fan mail that he insisted on being in this photo op,I was forced to oblige him.I planted the old mom's in the yard....will have pic's soon.the lil clone in the peat pot is my attempt to prove to a pal that I can root a clone ANYWHERE...even in miracle grow (we'll see....LOL). anyway im gonna burn one while i wait for these pic's to load (dial-up) then browse the board's GL too all.

Yo Dive where did you get those light hangers from (the things holding the lights up). Right now I have some chains but from the looks of those things they would be waaaaay easier to use right about now lol.

I like your frog greeny :) .........orangeman they are called "sun lift" and are a very cool retractable light hanger.make's moving light up and down a breeze.pick'em up online or at your grow store.

My frog likes you too.

divestoned I have a question. I read on the description of those sun lift things that they support lights up to 20 lbs. Well my light weighs 40 lbs because of the enclosed ballast. Do you think that will be a problem when I try to hang them on my lights?

I transplanted the seedling's which are lookin more like plants than seedling's now.the clone's in the cloner havent sprouted roots yet ...any day tho. the cutting that i rooted in miracle grow survived. so that bout covers it :)

oh yea...and i broke my finger and had to have a surgery so I been in the hospital cpl days :(

ok so here are the pic's of 4 of the old mom's.I picked them a nice spot right along the creek :) the last pick is a view from afar.Also we have root's in the cloner now..so were almost ready to start the fun part yay.

Lol nah. I started to think they might not be able to handle my lights. Thanks for the suggestion but I think the chains are more suitable since they have been holding them all this time. I just got tired of constantly holding them when I had to lift the chains. So much energy drainage lol!

well hopefully you'll upgrade your lights an room soon then you can use them :)

I went out today and picked up the soil ,I went w/"Fox Farm ocean forest" it looks pretty good.I also picked up a DUAL 600w hps ballast and bulbs...I'll do that instead of the 2-1000w to cut down on heat an energy use.

this is that clone I rooted in miracle grow,sitting happily in it's new home...a bucket of "ocean forest".she's waitin on her friends in the cloner to join her.

so it is beginning....I have transplanted some of our faster clone's.I also hung the new DUAL 600w hps and a single 600w hps (which is temporary). with summer comin' it's gettin too hot in there,this should fix it :) I also got rid of most of the seedling's ..they showed sex...lotta males/ cpl girl's.I have one more to find a home for.soon I will build the automatic watering system,until then I have a cool wand hooked to a pump in my rez. for hand waterin'.

I think everyone is waiting for those things to flower lol. I can say though I've never seen a ballast hanging from hooks like that in the air haha.

Hey, man. Lots of people have replied to you. Everyone says you have a great setup...even me! :) Don't get down because your thread is not as popular as you might think. Here's a tip. The only way to get a thread to keep going and getting posts is to keep updating, providing cool pics, and then...talk like a chick!

LOL No, but seriously, most of the grow threads get big because they talk about specific things...ask specific questions, talk about techniques, nutrients, lighting, etc.......and then there are the girlie threads. ;) Those are self explanatory...I mean, they are female growers. for one, and then they talk about some crazy ass stuff, which will always get a response...even from me! Ha.

Hell, man, my threads are only big because I post BIG updates with BIG pictures!! :cool: They are informative, but not very scandalous... like Mrs. G's for example. HA She cracks me up. Always has something interesting to say, other than "look at my plants...oh how do they look?" Now, you know the secret...go grasshopper...post your heart out. LOL Make sure you equalize on the way down and do your safety stop on the way up. ;)
