Lets talk about guitars. Here are mine, so where are yours?
hey,
This is a thread for guitar players of all kinds. Here we can talk about anything guitar.
I wanted to share mine since I talk about them so much. :pimp:
The first picture I've included is called a Fender S-65. It's nothing special or mad expensive, but it is part of the Squier collection. It's a solid body guitar, but it does have a bolt on neck-unlike the Epiphone SG, which the design probably originally came from, has a neck built right into the guitar. It is also equipped with 2 Seymour Duncan (designed) humbuckers. I use this guitar in drop-B tuning, pretty low, and after fine tweaking of the guitar and amp, I have a sound that is meaty, but no too fuzzy so you hide behind the distortion. I paid $200 even for this guitar, and after research and e-mails back and forth, I found out it goes for approx $400 (CDN) and was made in 2002.
The second picture is of my baby, my Fedner 1967 Strat. It was handed down to me by my dad, and the neck has once since been replaced. The pickups are Dimarzio and it sounds very weak distortion wise. I use this one in standard tuning, and the songs I play are a tad on the lighter side. Amazing clean tones though and rock ass for the blues. Recently I had to replace the original saddles as they created snags from years of string use, so for the time being-until I get them repaired-I am using these graphite ones. They do the job, but I want to keep this guitar in original form.
My last guitar is my acoustic Nova. :p People laugh when they see this due to its size, but I paid only $4 for it with a broken neck. I fixed it up, slapped some strings on there and the tone is very much clear. I prefer used strings on this acoustic as new ones are just too bright sounding.
And lastly, my amp. Again, Fender, 125W combo amp that is loud as hell. I (as in my dad) paid $700 for this back in 1998 for me. Without it, I would sound like complete shit. A good amp is key to sounding good.
I don't use any distortion pedals, just the amp distortion. I do want a wha-what pedal though, that'd be cool.
Anyways, discuss guitars! :rasta:

The group shot include most of my guitar gear, only missing my Univox Badazz, which is being modified currently and is in pieces, and a bunch of effects pedals.
The second shot is my '68 Fender Bronco, it's been highly modified though, the only original parts are the body and neck.
Third is my '69 Reissue Fender Mustang, it's blue, and stock aside from the pickguard and knobs.
Fourth is my 1940-something Vega. The inlays are made of real ivory, and it's worth a ridiculous amount of money, but it's not for sale. It's a heirloom, originally owned by my grandfather's brother in Italy, who died in WW2.

I have a RAT, Carl Martin Red Repeat, EHX Small Clone, and an Ibanez Turbo Tube Screamer. I want to get a Marshall Echohead, and possibly an octave pedal of some sort, but I'm currently spending ridiculous amounts of money on recording, and am completely broke.

Its a longhorn cow horn......when I first built it (no horn) it was real neck heavy so I thought thats why they put a upper horn on them.....so I did..
