Driving cross country next week
Fuckin' A! I am on the road again...
I have a flight on Wednesday...not a good one..it goes from LA to Phoenix to Boston to Dayton...So, I have 2 layovers..one in Phoenix for 3 hours and one in Boston for 3 1/2 hours...The good part about Boston is that I plan to take the Silver line out of the Terminal,, Take that to South Station..get off there and then walk (very fastly) to the Boston Common to find a geocache and then haul ass back to the airport and catch my flight..cant miss it cause it is non refundable...
Then after loading all of my dads stuff in a moving truck, we will be driving from Ohio to California...We will be passing through Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona...I hope to find caches all the way, we will see what my dad says..he is one of those guys that dosent stop for shit...just keeps a drivin'. He also told me he cant drive at night, so I will be doing all the night driving..
There is my adventure next week, I will try and post as many pictures as I can take. This is the 5th time I have drove accross country..
I am really looking forward to the stop in Boston though. I got it all mapped out, I am ready to find that cache. Should be interesting. Luckily I know the subway system well..I will also be going back to Boston in September for the Hemp Fest..anyone else going?

That was totally cool...I already repped him..bumped him to 2, which was sweet..I havent mapped it yet...but I dont think it goes through Kansas...I am going to have to check it out. If so, it would be cool to stop and hang out, get a shower and blow one of these big joints I am gonna have for the trip.

Dude, I went to Canton in the 3rd grade...First time I ever kissed a girl was in The Football hall of fame.. She had a large birthmark on her arm with hairs coming out of it. Trippy. I still kissed her though..

geonagual...It depends on your route...Are you going down I-44 thru Mo into Ok. or are you gonna go I-70/I-35? It looks shorter if you take 70 to 44 to OKC, I know what those long hours on the road can be like...Many years Tourin With the Dead.
Also be CAREFUL in Oklahoma, that is one of the gauntlet Hiways (LOTS of LEO's lookin fer drug runners,Western Oklahoma espesally!!I-40)Mo. can be touchy also ,mind youe speed limits!! I-40 has LOTS of Cops!!

Too bad you will only be in Boston for such a short time- if there was more time you could meet up with Stinky and the yeag and me - but there's always Hempfest, and we might be able to get a big gang of us together for that, wouldn't that be fun!
So, am I understanding you right, you are planning to find some somthing smokable growing in the Common? Is that possible? Wow, there is a god!

No. Nothing smokeable that I know of in the common
I will be finding this
(GCZ18R) Troll Lord Magnar - Boston's Mine by Robert Hardesty
The logistics are gonna have to be tight for me to find this one. It is smack dab in the middle of the common. I really wanted to ride the T to park street off the green line to get this one. But the fastest way from Logan is a friggin bus and I have time constraints. I only have 3 hours on the ground.
I cannot wait to go to Boston in September...Plane tickets are a great price right now..right around $230..I am recruiting 2 of my friends to go with me..that will help on the hotel cost.
I have been thinking about Boston non stop for a week. I used to work selling pretzels and t shirts downtown off the carts....juggling all the time...I worked on carts in front of the common, the old state house, filenes, Fanuel hall...alll the touristy parts. I always liked going to the top of the John Hancock and just sitting there for hours. Then going inside the Trinity church or getting on the T and jumping off on random stops or looking at the different art and design of the T stations.
I am looking forward to the Hempfest..

I dont think it will matter besides the weed I will have...
We gotta a uhaul truck pulling his truck behind. I think those trucks usually have a governer...So it will probably 55..I did this drive a little over a year ago in my Ranger and I did pretty much 92 mph all the way thru new mexico and Arizona..There were a lot of cops in Oklahoma, like you said..Ohio has a shit load of troopers on their highways.

Here's wishing you well and safe passage and hoping you will find a common ground with your father on what could be a very enlightening road trip.
Take this time to understand where this new "understanding" will take you.
Peace brother

Oh wow, you see I know nothing about that stuff but it sure looks exciting, like a giant treasure hunt! I love stuff like that, scavenger hunts, etc-
It's supposed to be fine weather then so that should aid your quest- godspeed!
Yea, Boston is a very cool place, and as you say, the T makes exploring it simple and fun. I've lived here since 1993 and love it (except the winter cold!!!)
See you in September

And Skink, I wouldn't do kinky nekkid hanging out with Geo anyway. I only get kinkified with Papi. Geo and I would go looking for stuff stashed in places. I do a version of geocaching called letterboxing. It's very similar. If you'd like to know more, click this:Letterboxing North America

Hey! Whats up everyone? Almost half of my journey is over. I am in Ohio now. The flights were long, very long:stoned: Just the flight from Phoenix to Boston was 4 1/2 hours.
I was very psyched to be in Boston this morning. My flight landed around 5:30 am..I jumped off the plane and hauled ass down to the silver line that comes in front of the terminal..It is a bus, but it goes through mostly subway tunnels. I got off the bus at south street and caught the red line to Park street, which is right in front of the common. It was so great to ride the T again:rastasmoke:
Anyway, when I got to the common it was still dark. Took some pictures of the capital building and also the ice rink..made my way to ground zero and found the cache pretty easily. It was hidden well and it is in a very public area..It was very fun..made my way back to the front of the common.walked down to downtown crossing.took a few pictures of the Old State house. I got a picture perfect postcard picture of that...then I walked briskly,,passing about 5 dunkin donuts:p and 3 7-11's:p down to Fanuel hall, took a few pictures and jumped back on the subway at Government Center and went back to the airport. 2 hours round trip...I still had an hour to spare..
I didnt sleep last night, so I am beat..tommorrow we are getting the Uhaul, so I will be loading pretty much all day..Sold my dads refrigerator and stove..so I have to deliver that on Friday morning down in Cincinnati (deer oark) Bob the Awesome's neighborhood. Then it is back to the truck, load my dads truck on a car dolly on the back and make my way back to California. My dad already told me that he cant drive at night and he dosent want to drive in California cause it is too crazy. LOL Sorry for all the run on sentences.
Mrs. Greenjeans, I wanted to set something up last week when I knew I was coming but your ASS got banned for well...who knows? Nobody ever tells around here..maybe my cousin will come up tommorrow (thursday) and I can convince him to make the trip. I am not sure. You said hit you up on email..I dont have your email. Mine is my username at hotmail or yahoo.
Cant wait till Hempfest in September:hippy:
Plus, there are more caches to be found in Boston!
Peace to everyone...
