Have you ever been busted by an undercover cop? I'm getting a little paranoid...

So I finally found a new contact after 6 months of going without. My new contact is the husband of a girl I work with...

So I go to pick it up, and I hear dogs at the next door neighbor's house. I ask about them... she say's it's a cop and one of them is a drug dog. :wtf: Okay, I guess we just won't be smoking the stuff together, then... you know, since a drug dog lives across the street!!

She also has a 13 year old daughter that was present for the whole deal. I work with this girl, and I trust her, which is why I haven't really thought of it yet... but of course, I got a little paranoid last night and I'm wondering if I should continue to use her. In all my dealings, I've never bought from anyone who would deal openly in front of their kids, or who would not smoke with me when I got there (when it's a first time deal).

Normally, I'm of the opinion that cops don't bust small-time buyers and that the rampant paranoia out there is very much unfounded... but the fact that her 13 year old was there and she made no attempt to hide it concerns me.

Any opinions, stories you'd like to share?

I think if you like the ppl you should just tell them how it makes you feel. If they say no then leave. No reason to just abandon a situation that seems easy enough. Be careful

I gotten busted by an undercover when I was younger, but I blame myself.

I been with people that sold various drugs in front of very younger children, that's far worse. I wouldn't deal with anyone that has no sense of responsibility for themselves or others.

Is this person making money or just selling to smoke? If it's to support themselves, deal with him elsewhere or part ways. This question makes a big difference in my mind of how much unnecessary risk this person is willing to take.

I get the impression they just sell to smoke... I haven't met the husband yet, but she says he smokes every night.

In general, though... undercovers don't typically bust by selling small amounts of drugs (and only one kind at that) themselves, do they? Don't they usually work in the opposite direction, buying FROM gangs and such in hopes of discovering the network or busting the street-level dealer?

I'll talk with her tonight. I don't want her to get offended, because I don't find it wrong or irresponsible to sell in front of a 13 year old. My mom smokes with me, has since high school. I just wonder how many other people there actually are out there like me. Seems unlikely, unless she is in on the fact that dad is an undercover...

I need to stop worrying about it and just talk to her. Wish me luck!!

Oh, could you tell me more about the time you got busted?

The time I was busted I was 15, just skipping a school and smoking a cigarette at a park nearby the school with my girlfriend at the time. I told her to go back to school so she could catch the bus, and like 30 seconds later this short-ass asian dude wearing plain-clothes walks up to me and pulls out his badge, and yea basically took me up, searched me, and when he found the weed, he slammed it to the ground and exclaimed "WHAT'S THIS??" Yea, basically it was my fault, they caught me near school-grounds when I was suppose to be in class. They had reason to.

I known about others that gotten busted by undercover cops, but they usually have already been investigated for pattern of the routes they take or certain hang-outs and they were dealers buying bulk amounts. But as a guy buying some pot, na.

When I was younger I was at a Lynyrd Skynyrd Concert and my buddy who was with me lit up at the concert, and like all good people, we let the people beside us hit if it they wanted to, and I kid you not, he passed it to this guy who walked up, the guy took a hit, handed it back to my buddy and then showed his badge. My friend had a fun night in lockup but he was only given a $100 dollar fine.

I'd say no she's not undercover, but I'd be sketched out as hell if there was a drug dog next door. If she was undercover, she herself would be guilty of putting a child in danger or something like that.

I smoked out this random black dude from brooklyn I met at a park. He was 23 and I was a bunch of 14-16 year olds. I thought for sure he was a narc and was just tyring to get us busted. Turns out he was just some random dude that smoked weed. haha. The moral of the story is, you are just a little paranoid.

One time, my husband and I went to a hotel with jacuzzi suites just to have some fun away for a few days, and the receptionist reeked of weed. So, I said, "I don't want you to get into trouble... but I can smell that." I think she thought I was bribing her because she took us back to the room they were smoking in, and we all shared a big bong for about a half hour. My husband and I then left and had great sex in the hotel room.:thumbsup: :) I need to get back to my non-paranoid self, I think... those were fun days. Well, it was only a couple years ago...

But anyway, yes... after I typed all that out, I realized how paranoid I looked. Do I really smoke enough to be a stereotypical paranoid pothead? I sure hope not... but I guess I learned my lesson this time. I'm usually the one chastising others for being too paranoid.
