How do you stop smoking?

Ok I'm going to stop smoking for a month to pass my piss test fair and square without all the stress of hoping a dillution works. I've been smoking an average of probably .5-1g daily for the last 2 months. My only problem is the mental addiction, I am sitting here thinking about rolling a blunt for fun and then started thinking about smoking one last blunt, and after thinking about doing that stuff it's that much harder to stop. I think it is just the first day or so and the rest is a breeze? Anyone other daily smokers had to quit for a while, what did you do to keep your mind off mary jane?

dude just make sure you dont have ne around you and its a lot easier... just dont think about it, and if you do start to think about it just start doin somethin thatll take your mind off of it..

I have been clean for 2 months, I think about weed everyday, the only advice I can give you is stay motivated, If I had a blunt here, ooooo baby, Id smoke that in a heartbeat

yea i am on my third week off as of yesterday..an di have a test in 5 days...its hard to stop..its alot harder when you are aroudn it too..just drink water..i foudn for some reason it just helps me im not sure why..but after a while you wil be fine..your body will feel good being off it for a little bit...and it is good to take breaks..the first week is the hardest..just stick with it and youll pass...and it wil be a great feeling when you pas the test and you are int he clear and you just get to roll a nice blunt to celebrate..but think about the rewards...good luck

man i constantly hear people say that weeds not addicted, i think there soem kind of mental addiction cause you know how fuckin awesome it si to be blazed, just two weeks ago me and my brother got arrested cause our house smelled like weed and my brothers inhome(in case you dont know its a person that you have to call every couple of hours and they usually come by your house once a day to see whats goin on) but anyway she came here and it smelled like weed, me my brother and 4 other friends smoked a bunch out of one of my friends new glass bong, so were mall stoned and shit sittin in my living room and we just laugh at the bitch, and about an hour later the fuzz rolls up to my house and next thing i know im in a orange jumpsuit with orange sandles and orange socks, i ended up stayin in there for 4 days, it doesnt seem liek that big of a dela but its hell in there man, time goes so fuckign slowly its nuts, so my brother go sent to another juvenile detention(jail) cause the one here only can hold you for 96 hours(4days), i really meant for this story to be short and shit but i go into detail to much, i was freakign the fuck out 4 days without even a drag of a cig or a hit of bud, i was clean for 8 days and then i caved and i bought a bag and i smoked that nightand the next 4 days which was a dumb idea, im just extremly happy that my po didnt give me a ua today otherwise id be in that damn orange jumpsuit again and probably would be goign to summit bootcamp(davenport, iowa [i live in dubuque iowa]) for 3 monthes, but now ive been clean for 3 days and im ognan try to keep it that way until i get off of probation the only thing that scares me is the fact that i could gte put right back on, but my best advice would be to not be around which is ovious, if you alreayd smoke cigs then tight, i think it helps out alot about not thinking about it, im goign fucking nuts again though

work out dude thats the best in my eyes if your old enough get another friend of urs to stop smoking with u and get a membrship at a local gym and start working out. it will get your mind off of weed and dont go on this forum so much!!! this entire forum is just weed weed weed lol.

ha lol.... ya i hate breaking... i was supposdly going to break for 2 weeks to get toleracne down bu yesterday i had this idea... hmmm maybe if ill go buy some dank shit and a bowl and 2 joints later I was actually pretty high... but no were compared to 2 week break tho. Also I can go cold turkey if i am completly serious about it. Although even tho if i dont smoke bud for 3 months you can tell dam well every min of those 3 months i thought about weed lol. my adivce is just to go outside and run your self to death until you run so much you get what I call a runners high... seriously if you run really really hard and long... you do sorta feal high... i dunno maybe its just the thc in my fat burning up :) lol but exercise helps keep ur mind off things. and remeber its all in ur head....

Just quit. Don't buy weed. And make sure your friends know you need to quit. Tell them not to let you smoke. Control yourself.

smoke that ounce over this week, or as soon as you can and stop after that. its what id do.

edt: actually you have a piss test fuck that, lol sell the o and buy yourself some ill stuff to help you cope with sobriety

Well i got caught so i just kinda stopped cold turkey. Its tough, but if you hit a hookah or puff on a cigar, its easier. Also i did some shrooms which, IMO makes you realize that weed is much more significant than it seems, so it helped me to stop smoking. But i dont suggest you do that. Good luck man, not smoking is a bitch.

I'd say make sure not to let your friends pressure you into doing it. Even if they aren't trying to pressure you if they light up a joint its hard not to just take a hit when it comes around.
