Me too.
u want to grow up to be a plagiarizer?
One of the first tracks I ever heard from Dylan was "Lay, Lady, Lay". I still listen to that track on almost a daily basis
Great artist. I wish I knew more of his music.
great artist? he stole over 1/2 his songs he ever wrote.

I saw him live a couple months ago, it was definitely the coolest concert I've ever been to. There were three jam bands that opened before him, and everyone was laying around on blankets smoking massive amounts of weed. I didn't bring any of my own weed and I was high the entire four hours I was there.
yo terps what the hell are you talking about?
Any dylan fans that would accualy like to broaden their musical horizions (i know not many of you classic rock people like to do that because, how can their be any good music that wasnt made in the 60-70's WOO HOO lets listen to darkside for the 1000th time, omg the bells in time, thats some trippy shit like woAH)
Anyways, theres this dude
YouTube - Jose Gonzalez in Philly - Hints
bob dylan plagiarism - Google Search
^bob dylan has stolen alot of his lyrics
What a bunch of horseshit.
The entire plagiarism accusation is based off one album "Love & Theft" in coincidence with a book. You'd have to be in some isolated island to truly have iconic original music. Every artist one way or another plagiarizes off someone's work. It wasn't like Dylan took some guy's song, and started claiming it was his own. It simply a collage of memories for Dylan, he probably picked up the book, read it and it inspired him.
...having lyrics be word for word from a book is still plagiarism
Alright, maybe he plagarised, but honestly that doesn't change too much about how i feel about the man. Don't get me wrong, i think plagarism is a completly bullshit way to gain fame, but regardless of the fact that he may have stolen lyrics he's still an amazing performer. If you had never been told about the fact that he plagarised some of his songs you would still love the man now. That's my input
(favorite song is Hurricane by the way. DAMN i love the live version of that song)

i saw him at the bob dylan show april 1, 2006? or 2005 he didn't talk at all the whole time, just came out sang, then indtroduced the band then left. bad ass concert though
bob dylan has always had something to say
he`s been writing thought provoking music for coming on 40 years now
he`s the nuts
any true dylan fans read chroniicles,a must read
He had good lyrics, but I find him one of the worst singers I've ever heard. I can't stand his music. I'd rather read his lyrics in a book then by his songs.
dont you know all music is some form of plaguerism anyways?Quote:

Whatever the situation, Dylan's music spoke a lot of truth, and spoke it well to a lot of people, and continues to, today.
As for his voice, it changed substantially throughout the years. Some songs I can't even imagine being sung in anyone else's voice.
"Disillusioned words like bullets bark
As human gods aim for their mark
Made everything from toy guns that spark
To flesh-colored Christs that glow in the dark
It's easy to see without looking too far
That not much
Is really sacred."
