just wondered what one thing made you start to grow you own,i used to grow a lot in the early 90s stopped for years but the bud got shit then the glass weed turned up so i said fuck it and started again, what about you:thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
Boredom, the increase in knowlege about what i am actually putting in my body, the prices of smoking your own grown.....priceless.
I started growing for my ex boyfriend, before I even smoked... I started smoking when reports started getting back to me that it was good shit... then I got interested in breeding... boyfriend and i differed on what my aim in growing should be (me=hobby, challenge, knowledge, protect/improve valuable genetics, medicine for my anxiety; him= get fucked up every morning first thing so he wouldn't feel so bad about being an unemployed loser)... he's gone, my genetics collection is safe.

I got tired of being dry. Also I was fed up with the bs of dealers and then there is the safety factor. You can't get busted for buying weed if you grow your own and keep your mouth shut.
My weed is better than any dealer I have bought from.

I started growing after what i call a bad break up:wtf: . I wanted to impress her and actually start a strain and name it after her. Lol i was so lame back in the day. Seriously though after a few months and i saw movement i started to get attached to the plants and here i am! Ive been doing it for a few years now and i don't plan on stopping.

Yep.....way too many issues with lousy dealers, lousy weed and lousy prices. The first time I smoked some fresh (quality) homegrown weed I couldn't believe the difference! I'll never go back. ;)

Lousy dealers bottom of the barrel crap homegrown being sold as A grade bud @ or over £130 an ounce & the alternative of crap euro rocky made from 80% recycled chinese plastic. So wannabeGangstaDeallers + CrapSmoke + GrassingScumPunters = Grow your own and be free. Certainly can't gow any worse than whats sold around here.

2. i really do enjoy growing and smoking your own weed and strains is one of the greatist buzz's i have ever known.

i had friends into it and after smoking some of their flavorfull stuff i couldnt really go back either. i was so proud when they shared a garden with me that the feeling of having my own just took over.
some famillier reasons there,
the number 1 reason is its always been a dream of mine to grow some nice weed,,,
hate paying over the odds for stuff, dont like dealing with shady types, etc.
had a few half-assed attempts at growing when i was younger, but a year or two ago a had a few hundred spare and was wondering what to do with it...
drove a few miles to a hydro shop and the rest is history :)
Got fed up with one too many hangups instead of hookups.
I don't like the idea of there being powers in charge that I don't support, that dictate what I can and can't do. Especially when I don't agree with their rules. There are plenty of other reasons too.
Price, quality, dealing with shady people, hobby, medicine, fun.

well, as a 14 year old I had an interest in putting the bagseeds in soil with a desk lamp over them in a drawer, then my mom found the seedlings and put them by the window to get better light.
Then when I was 23 I had my own place so I grew a couple plants by a south-facing window. I had good hookups so I wasn't motivated to grow seriously, but the plants flowered according to the season and got a little seeded, but I was impressed that a throw away plant could be compared to the herb I got from dealers.
Now I live in a new city and the closest hook I have is 3 hours away, so a year ago I was compelled to do what I kept procrastinating; growing my own bomb shit. It's so easy and therapeutic and only requires knowledge and attention. IT's so much a fundamental part of me that I assume every stranger on the street must have their own grow otherwise how could they live?
