I don't read books. Reading is for the weak! :p I'm just kidding.
The only thing I read is magazines pretty much. Mostly Guitar World magazine, no wait, I'm reading a Led Zeppelin book right called, "In Their Own Words." It's a compilation of how they got started and their music in their own words. It's from like 1981, so Jon Bonham was still alive then. It's pretty interesting. :)
Oh yeah, i have Mad MAgazine in the bathroom.
Linear Algebra & It's Applications :wtf:
I find Algebra interesting. I took a full semester of algebra and I found it facinating for some reason. I'd get high and figure out problems for a good few hours. I never realized how much it's used in everyday life either.
I'm a closet math nerd. :o
the shadow over innsmouth by h p lovecraft. downloaded it for free along with most of his other stuff from horrormasters.com. i've also been reading a lot of clark ashton smith stories which i downloaded from the eldritch dark. he's a strange but good writer and uses words that sound like he made them up, although in a note i read about him it says he had photographic memory and read some dictionaries from cover to cover so i guess they are real words.
I just finished Speak Softly, She Can Hear by Pam Lewis...pretty damn good book if you ask me.
the devils notebook by anton levey
that's what danny from american history x does his first report on... lol...Quote:

"Neuromancer" by William Gibson
One of the original cyberpunk novels - Johnny Mnemonic without the bad acting
just finished "Brave New World"
now im re reading Ender's Game
I'm reading Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides. I'm about half way through. It is a really good book.
Yeah, don't be fooled by the title of the book. The prerequisite for Linear Algebra is Calculus 2.....Quote:

haha whens the next harry potter coming out?
I just finished reading A Lesson Before Dying by Ernest J. Gaines. I'm about to start reading 1984 soon and i am very excited!
Same here! I struggled with math all through elementary and high school, but in college, something clicked and it became my favorite subject.Quote:

"Unique in scope, Lifecycles combines the best scientific testimonies about reincarnation with philosophically sound yet accessible arguments about its implications. Lifecycles is the first book to both describe the dynamics of rebirth and explore the ramifications of adopting a reincarnationist perspective. The book begins with a masterful synthesis of recent findings from consciousness research and near-death studies. It includes the work of such eminent therapists and scholars as Stanislav Grof and Dr. Ian Stevenson, and critically surveys the most compelling evidence for rebirth. Lifecycles emphasizes the lessons for self-awareness and spiritual growth inherent in a reincarnationist world view, showing us how we can reconnect with the order, intelligence, and beauty of the universe around us".
"the psychology of handwriting"
I am currently reading True Hallucinations by Terrence McKenna.
It is the story of a group of anthropologists/ethnobotanists/travelers/scholars that go on a trip to the Amazon jungle to study ancient Shamanic traditions and hallucinogenic plants.
It is quite an interesting read! :)
Currently re-reading Think and Grow Rich - Nap Hill - Damn good. Gotta keep it fresh in the head or I feel myself slipping. Controlling your thoughts is so deep. Sometimes like earlier even with me, I was stressed, frustrated and ready to snap. Started re-reading it. Regained control, had to say sorry to a few people lol.
The Power of Focus - Jack Can and few co writers I finished last week. Its ok.
The art of Mixing - Technical Audio Engineering.
And Confessions of a Record Producer.
I try to read two self empowering books and 2 technical books in my field a month. Confessions is by moses avalon and if you're into or thinking of getting into the music and entertainment industry, this guys awesome. So awesome I bought two one for me and one to loan out to my assistant engineers.
Glad you guys read. I used to never at all. I thought about it and couldn't understand why I didn't, my mind wandered and soon I stopped a few pages in. Lost interest fast but deep thought allowed me to come to the conclusion that I was allowing my brain to become a fat ass couch potato. So I kicked it and threw it on Prunedale Craig. This was some years ago.
In my opinion. If you are not getting better (brain wise) then you're getting weaker. Stagnation does not apply to us. Your getting or losing. And I wanna be a good ol american smart ass some day so I'm gonna have to keep reading and act like I believe it all .
Haunted, by chuck Palahniuk
I'm not overly fond of it hence why its takin me so long to read, I liked fight club way more! and I have Choke, and Invisible monster written by him that i still have to read :)
Darwin's Black Box by Michael J. Behe... a very interesting read for anybody who has pondered the origins of life.
Just finished The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain... it was amusing.
Finishing up Inferno by Dante... I'm a lover of the classics.
My next readings will probably be some literature from the Romantic Era, most likely Frankenstein.
Reading > T.V.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Wal-MartQuote:

By the way, I was pretty surprised at how many good books some of you are reading. You guys have good taste and its an excellent way to fight off the stoner sterotype.
Thanks for sharing that, it looks really interesting- I will look for it!Quote:
