Seedling + topping = THC?!?

WTF?!? lol i got a dwarf bubblegum, about an inch tall, with 6 tiny leaves, i topped it and left it in with my other plants on 12/12 and after looking at it today i cant see tiny spherical blobs...THC?!? lol i thought the pre-flowers came up, then the THC, but this has no pistils at all.. just trichomes on the leaves?!?

im confused.. i know its THC... but it shouldnt be there! its still in vegg for christ sake! i tried takin pics, but my camera is bein an asshole, i think it needs cleanin, heres what i got..

Hey thats not THC nor are those resin glands. If you look at the leaves of any marijuana plant (probably all of them) under a microscope you'll see those are tiny hairs. Under the microscope they sorta look like resin glands but I'm sure they're not. I don't know the actual name for the structures... its been a while since bio 101...

if this was a cutting its possible the person who you got it from cot it and gave it to you while it was in flower mode

That was my first thought (leaf hairs), and my next was that it was dew.........but looking close at the pics it does in fact appear to be resin glands to me too, AB.....I can see the hairs and the droplets...?

those are the hairs that every plant has, i guess there resin glands too, but u get hairs like that on every leaf of the plant, even on the fan leaves, run your hand on the leaf toward the stem and u can feel them on any leaf, they ussually puff up in low humidity. why would u top an one inch plant, and then send it to 12/12.

lol Okay.. im no retard, i do know about those little hairs, and ive seen them before, im talking about real THC, its very hard to see on those pics, but in real life, through a microscope lens there is THC.. IM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE HAIRS, i see the hairs, and also see the THC, they look completely diferent, i gotta say its not much THC, but there is some there...

i wish my camera could take less blurry pics..

Have you ever had a dwarf/stunted phenotype? one which no matter how much light and care you give it, it just grows super-slow? well thats what this is like, so after a while, i topped it, as i figured it didnt want to grow vertically, i thought, maybe it will grow laterally, it may be one inch high, but its got 4 nodes, which is when your meant to top. so i topped it, and hey presto, its growing.. I only have one cab, which is on 12/12 at the moment, also being winter, the sun is on 12/12.. so basically, i had to put it in 12/12, or it would get insufficient lite...

You should not have topped a plant that small dude that was the wrong thing to do. It did not have a chance to produce the axons needed for healthy long life and large buds.

Cropping has nothing to do with THC. THC is in the genetics and you can only grow the plant to its full potential and not beyond in terms of THC percentage.

You should not have stressed such a young plant your risk of your plant turning hermie now have increased by 10 fold.

oh yeh, i know that lol 'topping has no bearing on potency,' and the genetic limit for THC percentage, i didnt expect this to happen! lol i just topped it, looked at it and saw thc.. thats literally it :)

he wasnt that young though, it got the same treatment as any other plant ive ever topped, got it on the same node, if anything rembrandt was way older than the rest... he seems fine now tho, looks like he mite finally grow...

i have many other plants in bud, so this is not my major priorety, i may just bud it seperately, and see what it does (hermie?)

i topped it becuz its the rite time, it was at 4th - 5th node...

The same thing happened when I topped my plant. It did it in the veg. cycle, and it was like a burst then dissapeared. You can see it in my 4/20 thread. . .

And it just might do something as soon as you decide to quit topping that poor thing!

"creating resin" and "waste of time" shouldn't be in the same sentence...

As a curiosity, that plant is very interesting.

As a viable method of growing cannabis for smokeable buds, not so much.

What purpose does THC have for cannabis? I've heard it is to protect it from UV rays and I've heard its to repeal insects... Or is it just to get us high.

dude im not tryin to be an ass...i know your plant is growing "fine" and all seems well but its not! it is a weed so it will grow in alot of bad conditions that dosent mean it will be a source i can almost gaurantee its a hermi or it produces shit nugs i agree with the other 90% of ppl its a waste of time start a new one dont get 2 months in and then have to find out the hard way!
