Space.
Ok, this is what I have been thinking. Does space end? Some may say no, some may say yes. However, either answer cannot be explained.
If you say yes, it does end. Explain to me this - How do you describe nothing? If it ends, is it a wall? Or what? If so, what's on the other side? Nothing? What is nothing? Nothing, is space. Space is still there. To me, when I used to say that Space ended was purely because I couldn't grasp on how something can go forever, and how mind-shattering thinking about the concept of forever is.
Anyways, I've always wanted to start a thread like this :P. Any other theories or anything else mind-blowing.... comment.... high or not high.

I perfer not to dwell on such confuzzling subjects. If I think about it too long my eyes burn and I get a headache.:wtf:

we're talking a little about this topic in my theology class at school. I feel that the universe is indeed infinite even though it is hard to grasp the concept. But things like this are fun to think about.

In the olden days pschologists used to warn people not to ponder the concept of infinity too long as it used to drive people mad. I think this and the many other random and complex paradoxes that arise from the inescapability of our thought patterns are passages to zen.

The universe has an end.
Leading scientist in the field of physics and cosmology say it does indeed end, But the other side is a mystery, possibly another universe where our laws od psyics dont apply.

Weird stuff...I always get a huge brain freeze thinking about what would BE if there was NOTHING....No Universe NOTHING Not even science. Ouch...what a hard topic to grasp.

It's only a matter of time till someone, or something in the universe gets so advanced that they will reach our planet.
There is no doubt in my mind that there are other living things atleast as intelligent as us humans out there.
When i say "matter of time", i don't mean like 100 years, probably more like 1000, 10,000 1,000,000 or more. I Don't even know if our species will last that long. That's another question altogether.
Now, for space having and end, i don't know. I don't see how it could have an end.

That could be the weed you're smokin too...

well... just a bit of light into your question... there are some cosmological theories that say the universe can be 'closed'. it means it is limited, but have no end. if it is hard to imagine, think about the surface of the earth. you can walk in any direction as long you wish, and you will never find the 'end' of the earth. but the area of the surface of earth is limited. the same could happen in a 'closed' universe. you would walk in any direction for zilions of light years, and never find the end of it. even if the total amount of space (volume) of the universe is limited.

I believe that space is continuous. I dont have a hard time comprehending that
.I also thing God is the most plausible explanation on how we exist. Every theory is bogus if you ask me, God is the least bogus theory. thats the way i look at it.

perhaps somhow space is spherical. The other side brings you to where you started. But that means if it was spherical, it has shape. if it has shape, it follows that it has a container. So that just means this is really confusing.

I believe everything is infinite. YES EVERYTHING.

Stephen Hawking has a theory about two opposing planes, one dark matter, the other is anti-matter. Being unstable in their natural state, they contract like waves in water. When the two touch, a reactionary explosion occurs, creating a universe composed of physical matter, dark matter, and anti-matter that will expand until it becomes so large the two aforesaid planes will crush it, creating a colossal black hole that is beyond comprehension. The black hole will emit its Hawking Radiation, giving it's energy back to the twin planes of existence.
Currently, this theory explains all aspects of deep space in a logical manner, but it is just a theory.
Science kicks ass.

a black hole...what is in the black hole...i know or have heard the gravity of one is so powerful things are crushed in on themselves and the power of the gravity pulls faster than the speed of light...but where do the things absorbed by the black hole go..its an anomaly in the plane of space where it can simply absorb everything to nothingness...what exists if just a black hole exists

If you believe in the big bang theory, then you must believe space has an ending.

Science past 9th grade is the best..learning about the different types of rocks wasn't THAT exciting..It was interesting but not that great :o

edited....didnt agree with what a wrote after the fact
anyway..i believe...IF space ends, then it must be in some container or contained by somthing.....
I personally dont believe space ends
