Need some advice....Checkout my first grow

Well first off, I'd like to say hello. Thanks for stopping by. Anyway this is my first grow I spent sometime researching and I think I have a good thing goin. I think i covered all the bases but smell.

They're less than a week into the 12/12 light cycle. Early on in vegging I had some problems with over fert. because I used this dumb root stimulator. But I gave them a good leeching and they seemed to get back i line. 2 of them were started a little later because germination took a long time.

Anyway they are all gearing up for flowering now ,and one of my most promising plant's is either startin to shit the bed on me or is showing signs of some different genetics than the rest.

After researching i realized it wasn't the best thing to plant seeds from a bag and Im thinking this might have to do with the wierd genetics if thats a possibility. I just don't think its over fert, over water, or a defficiency because it looks totally different. Each frond kinda curls inward on itself.

What size light you runnin? Thats a closet, like how it looks so clean and to the point. Hey bagseed good seed I think unless your growing clones they are all gonna be a little different, bet on the funky ass one being a momma. Just my wild ass random guess. Yeah and smell is something to think about, but there are choices. I'm running a hydrofarm exhaust fan filtering the smelly shit with a can filter out of my closet. Only had to cut one 4 inch hole to exhaust air, can be easily patched when done. nonetheless it just adds more ventilation anyhow, I run it 24/7 and you cant smell shit.

based on your pix, you have two odd balls; the two with skinny fingers are sativa dominant. the rest are indica dom (see those pretty fat dark leaves?)

I appreciate your advice. To answer your question Mulletman, Im runnin a 400w HPS bulb/ballast, I forgot to put that in the original thread. The filtering just seems like it would be hard with pocketed door like this. Thats one thing I didn't think about when picking the closet.

Are you rotating your plants cause it looks like the one on the far right isnt getting light on one side like the others. Ironically it appears to be the bigger plant..go figure. Looks good though. For the smell you may want to add yourself a carbon scrubber to filter out the smell.

Tanks Tryna. Yes I rotate daily. Especially the ones on the outside edge of the light. I probably could raise the light, but will the 2 smaller plants be hurt by the light being further away?

You could always throw in a couple of CFL's at the dark areas just to be sure, cant hurt.

Yeah I was thinkin about that but If i plug in anything else in that room the HPS shuts off. So Im a bit leary about that.

Surely, you could handle 26 more wts? I'd just throw a couple 13 wt cfl's out on the one dark side, continue to rotate, that way they dont loose so much light when they hit the dark side over there.

I have a flourescent that i used for germ. Would that work mounted on the wall at the dark point.

Yes a flouro will work to take up the slack. It also gives the advantage of differant light spectrum Thats a good thing

Ok i through a flouro up right next to the darkside. hopefully this will do the trick. theplant that is pictured by itself in my first post is really starting to look wierd. its individual fronds on each leaf are starting to fold in like tac shells. I just got done leeching it hopefully this will cure the problem. If anyone knows what this might be let me know. Ill try to get pics up tonight or tom. morning.

Well I think we have the start of some buds on the tops of 2 of them. At least thats what it looks like to me. Will try to post pics later. Still having roblems with that one plant though. I just don't get it. Please help.

I think she has enough water. I have a water meter and it says shes moist/wet. I cut off some of the really curled leaves this seemed to work for the last one I saved so hopefully will see some change for the better here soon.

Its official we have a female. Shes our biggest plant so thats a good sign. We also have determined one definate male. An the second largest plant may be showing signs of male which would kinda suck but atleast we got one good female as of now. Say does anybody know a standard bud yield for a 5 foot plant? Just to get an idea.

Well go figure out of the 20 seedlings we had at one point we end up with one female. Atleast it was our biggest plant. Shes hold steady and is about 2 weeks into flowering. Im just happy I learned a bunch and got some sort of smoke out of it. Nothin to be upset about its more of a hobby for me.

Anyway, Im definately purchasing seeds in the future. Im really looking into setting up a DWC system to grow fem Grapefruit seeds. With CFLs for vegging and 400 watt HPS for flowering.
