yes.....probably, if you were frictionless as well then yes you would......but if you were in the same spot then you would also be outside the earths atmosphere because you would remain in the same spot.....remember...the earth orbits the sun....
you'd prolly float up into SPACE
you would have to be floating in the earths atmosphere to be on the otherside of the world... because mastachronic is right about being out of the atmosphere if you didnt
yup, thats why when you jump into the air you dont go flying back considering how fast the world spins

if you were able to remain motionless in relation to the universe you would end up billions of miles from earth within minutes. it's not just the earth that moves; but the solar system, the galaxy etc. etc. i haven't the faintest idea where you might actually end up, but it's definetly not a good way to get to china. better to hop a jet for your next vacation.
LIFE, SPACE, AND DEATH really trips me out when i think about it high, its a really great way to kill your buzz.

The world was flat before Chuck Norris was born and the Earth became to brittle to support his awesomeness and had to change into a different shape. That's my theory, beleive what you want. It really tripped me out thinking if you went around faster than the earth spins in the opposite direction, if you would actually go back in time...
