Depends what you would call punk? Like I guess some of the stuff I listen to would be abit softer than what you're into but still punk by some standards. Rancid is my favourite band and just about anything that Tim Armstrongs ever been associated is cool with me, I love Operation Ivy, Lars Frederiksen and The Bastards, Social Distortion, The Clash, Dropkick Murphys, Bouncing Souls, NoFX, that shits all cool with me but it doesn't seem to be too popular here in the UK.
Even the Transplants?Quote:

NOFX use to be my favorite when I was a teenager. Listening to them now makes me appreciate how good they are. I don't think these guys define the genre, more like rape the genre. But The Decline, best political EP. It was pretty omnious foreshadowed the possibilities of the future.
second all of that^Quote:

I listen to a few punk bands, if that's what you want to call them. Sex Pistols and Ramones of course, I got mass respect for them. The Clash rock, I haven't listened to Dropkick Murphys in a while, but I love turnin on live punk rock on occasion :stoned:
Dystopia.
Haha yeah man I agree the Transplants are shite. Rob Aston is fucking awful, this first album was sorta okay but Haunted Cities is gash. Worst line I've ever herd in a song 'Money can't buy you love and thats true, but money can buy you drugs so thats cool'. He tries way too hard lol.Quote:

I'm not punk, far from it, but I used to really be into the punk rock scene. Not so much anymore though. That doesn't mean I don't like it. I just don't listen to it as much anymore.
I still listen to the likes of Nofx, Rise Against, Strung Out , Lagwagon, Thrice (early wokings), Rancid, Dropkick Murphy's, SNFU. That's all I can think of right now, but Nofx are my fav. punker band. Punk in Drublic is one of my fav. top 5 albums ever. It's good stuff. Like this bowl waiting for me. Yes yes, good stuff. :rasta:

Yeah, I used to love punk but not as much anymore. I'd still go to shows and stuff (I went to Rancid this summer) but don't listen to it all the time anymore.
Crass, Assuck, Aus Rotten, 7 Seconds, Pig Destroyer etc etc etc

I'm way fucking late on this thread, but I did a search for spazz in the music forum hoping to find some people into powerviolence and such. Good to see there are a few of you. I got a getfile up on AIM with tons of awesome shit, if any of you guys have the same let me know.
D.O.A. and Bad Brains both slept on my floor in the '70's.
I've done sound for everybody from Fear & Flipper to Poopshovel & Lenny Kaye.
I was on the international steering committee for R.A.R. in 1979 & 1980
Does that count?
Hell yes man, that's awesome. Bad Brains and fucking Flipper. Have you heard Caustic Christ's cover of "Ha, Ha, Ha". It rules.
Yes.Quote:

I got blood for blood, hatebreed, tiger army in my play list thats punkish isn't it?
theres no such thing as leftover crack
I love DK. I used to listen to more street than I do now, but I still love it.
Get this, I was at a show last night, and the singer in the opening band proposed to his girlfriend on stage during the closing bands set. It was crazy. The guy was an asshole though. It was like no one ever told him about proper show behavior. The biggest rules being look out for each other and dont hit girls. Seriously, never hit girls.
Punks Not Dead...
Grew up as a punk in the 80's...it is still what I listen too...but over the past few years psychobilly has more of a presence in my life...I have been to so many shows...I wont even begin to count.
psteve..that shit is crazy..I would love to have kicked it with Bad Brains..they have been one of my favorites for over 20 years...hell, I listened to the quickness album for 6 straght months....smokin the gang with Bad Brains. That would be the shit...I have seen them 4 times live.
Punk is such an offensive word.
only if you're not oneQuote:
